FRANCIS CRICK INSTITUTE FUNDED PHD PROGRAM, 2027

The Francis Crick Institute is delighted to offer successful applicants a place on the Crick PhD programme, and a PhD studentship. The Crick receives a high volume of applications for its PhD programme. Given the high volume, reviewing all applications takes some time. 

ELIGIBILITY:

Candidates of all nationalities can apply for the Crick PhD programme and studentship.

The standard Crick PhD programme and studentship academic eligibility criteria are:

A first/upper second-class honours degree (or equivalent from a non-UK university) in a relevant subject.

Appropriate research experience as part of, or outside of, a university degree course or a master’s degree in a relevant subject.

Please note that a small number of positions may have additional eligibility criteria due to the funding that is supporting that position. If this is the case, details about the additional criteria are provided at the top of the individual position page.

English skills: Applicants do not need to submit information relating to English language skills during the application process. If you are offered a CRICK PhD studentship, they will provide you with information on their English language requirements.

BENEFIT:

A PhD studentship that covers the following:

£27,715 tax-free student stipend (living allowance) per year for four years

Tuition fees

If applicable, reimbursement of the student visa application fee and immigration health surcharge

UNIVERSITY OF STIRLING INTERNATIONAL UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP

LOCATION: Scotland

The University of Stirling loves welcoming students from all over the world to the University of Stirling. If you are eligible for this award, your annual fee payments will automatically be reduced by £2,500.

If you need a student visa, you will still be required to pay the International Tuition Fee Deposit as part of the standard admissions process.

ELIGIBILITY:

You must have received a conditional or unconditional offer of admission for an eligible undergraduate course at the University of Stirling starting in January 2027, September 2027, or January 2028.

You must be classified as an international student for tuition fee purposes.

Students who successfully progress from any qualifying pathway programme delivered at INTO Stirling onto a University of Stirling undergraduate course are also eligible.

You must be a full-time international student.

This scholarship cannot be combined with any other University of Stirling scholarship (the exception being the University of Stirling’s Sports Scholarship).

Students will automatically be identified as part of the admissions process. INTO Stirling students will be automatically identified as part of the progression process. No separate application is required for this award.

BENEFIT:

Value of awards: £10,000

£2,500 per year (£10,000 over four years) towards the payment of annual fees.
