MAX PLANCK FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME AT ALBERT EINSTEIN INSTITUTE

The Max Planck Society has established a fellowship program for foreign postdoctoral researchers. Outstanding scientists abroad are invited to apply and spend up to two years at the Albert Einstein Institute in Potsdam and Hannover. Each year the AEI will grant a limited number of Max Planck fellowships to outstanding foreign postdoctoral scientists who wish to spend up to two years at the institute. 


ELIGIBILITY:

Candidates interested in Max Planck fellowships should fill out a form (which is different depending on the AEI department they plan to be associated with; please see below) and upload a cover letter, curriculum vitae, list of publications, and statement of past, current and future research interests. Electronic Portable Document Format (PDF) submittals are strongly preferred. Applicants would need to indicate the names of three referees for recommendation letters. Referees will be notified by email on how to upload the letters.

BENEFIT:

The Max Planck fellowship program offers three different stipends, depending on research track record and achievements (net monthly stipend of €2,500, €3,000 or €3,600), plus some benefits and travel costs and the subsidy cost of baggage allowance reimbursements for the journey to our institute.

UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY BEIJING 2026 INTRODUCTION TO USTB CHANCELLOR SCHOLARSHIP (FOR BACHELOR ‘S, MASTER’S & DOCTORAL)

The “USTB International Student Dingxin Scholarship” is established by the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) to attract more high-caliber international students and scholars to study at USTB, and to promote the internationalization of USTB’s education.

ELIGIBILITY:

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and in good health.

Applicants for undergraduate programs must hold a high school graduation certificate and be under 30 years old.

Applicants for master’s programs must hold a bachelor’s degree and be under 40 years old.

Applicants for doctoral programs must hold a master’s degree and be under 45 years old.

Application Period: November 1, 2025 – April 30, 2026

This scholarship supports enrollment in undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs. The scholarship duration is 4 years for undergraduate students, 2–3 years for master’s students, and 4 years for doctoral students. For master’s and doctoral program applications, it is recommended to prioritize applying for USTB’s Chinese Government Scholarship—High-Level Postgraduate Program (which also provides an opportunity to be considered for the Dingxin Scholarship).

The scholarship duration is determined based on the period of study specified at the time of admission and generally cannot be extended.

Students must participate in the annual scholarship review; only those who pass the review will continue to receive the scholarship funding.

BENEFIT:

Full Scholarship: Covers tuition fees, on-campus accommodation, living allowance, and comprehensive medical insurance.

Partial Scholarship: Covers one or several items included in the full scholarship.
