The QEPrize is a global £500,000 prize that celebrates a groundbreaking innovation in engineering and we are delighted that you have chosen to submit a nomination to highlight the innovator(s) who have contributed to a substantial, lasting change in the world.
ELIGIBILITY:
Entry to the prize is open to any living individual (or up to 10 individuals) of any nationality who are personally responsible for a groundbreaking innovation in engineering which has been of benefit to humanity.
The closing date to submit your nomination(s) is 8 June 2024
The deadline for referees to submit supporting statements is 9 August 2024
The winner(s) of the QEPrize will be announced on 4 February 2025 and further details will be released closer to the time

EPSRC and Swansea University’s Faculty of Science and Engineering are pleased to invite eligible candidates to apply for the Polymer and Glyco Chemistry, Biomaterials, and Antimicrobials. The candidate will employ an exciting interdisciplinary approach, commencing with polymer and glycochemistry to engineer patchy glycosystems. These systems will be thoroughly characterized in our modern University laboratory using SEM, AFM, and TEM.
ELIGIBILITY:
Candidates must hold a UK bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Upper Second Class honours or overseas bachelor’s degree deemed equivalent to UK honours (by UK ECCTIS) and achieved a grade equivalent to UK Upper Second Class honours in chemistry or a related subject, OR master’s degree with a minimum overall grade at ‘Merit’ in chemistry or a related subject (or Non-UK equivalent as defined by Swansea University) (see country specific qualifications). Please note that you may need to provide evidence of your English Language proficiency.
BENEFIT:
This scholarship covers the full cost of UK tuition fees and an annual stipend at £19,237.
Additional research expenses will also be available.
