UNIVERSITY OF MELBOURNE DORCAS MCCLEAN SCHOLARSHIP

The Dorcas McClean Scholarship, worth up to $40,000, supports candidates for admission to an approved institution at the university of Melbourne. This opportunity is open to both domestic and international applicants.

ELIGIBILITY:

Applicants must be between 17 and 25 years of age Domestic and international students

Undergraduate, Honours, Graduate coursework, Graduate research for Future and Current study

be a violinist aged no older than 25 and no younger than 17 (as of 2 February 2025), and resident in Australia for no less than two years at 2 February 2025.

eligible for admission to a course of study at an institution approved by the Academic Board on the recommendation of the head of the school of Music in the faculty; or

under the supervision of a teacher approved by the Academic Board on the recommendation of the head of the school of Music; or

be a graduate or undergraduate of the University.

BENEFIT:

A one-off payment of up to $40,000 towards studies at another institution approved by the University of Melbourne. Runner-up and third-placed candidates will receive $10,000 and $5000 respectively.

KENT STATE UNDERGRADUATE GLOBAL SCHOLARSHIP

For the international student who has a dream of studying in the United States, the Global Scholarship makes a Kent State education “A Whole Lot Closer Than You Think!” The Global Scholarship is available to all incoming international undergraduate degree-seeking students who have been admitted to Kent State.

ELIGIBILITY:

An incoming UNDERGRADUATE international student attending the Kent campus.

An F1 visa holder.

A first-year or transfer student.

Please note: ESL-only students and visiting students will receive $4,300/year provided they are enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours.

For the Global Scholarship to automatically renew each year, awarded students simply need to maintain continuous in-person full-time enrollment at Kent State’s Kent campus and good academic standing as defined in the university catalog.
