BARRY UNIVERSITY STAMPS FRESHMAN SCHOLARS PROGRAM

Barry University partners with the Stamps Scholars Program to award multi-year scholarships to help driven and talented student leaders achieve their education and life goals. Stamps Scholars pursue their educational interests while developing their leadership skills with merit-based financial aid, including enrichment funds that can be used for study abroad, cultural exchanges, research projects, and other educational experiences.

ELIGIBILITY:

First-year freshman (US citizen, resident, or international student)

A high school GPA of 3.5 or higher

Demonstrated and active leadership

If you are accepted to Barry University and meet the scholarship’s minimum GPA requirement, you may apply to the Barry Stamps Scholars Program through your MyBarry account by December 15. In early February, semifinalists are invited to participate in a virtual interview with the Barry Stamps Review Committee, comprised of Barry faculty and administrators. Finalists will then be selected and scheduled for an interview with a representative of the Stamps Scholars Program in March. Finalists will be notified of a decision by late March.

The Barry Stamps Scholarship application season begins September 15th for students planning to enroll beginning fall. Completed applications will be received until December 15, at 11:59 PM (EST). A completed application includes the application information, a letter of recommendation, a resume, and a personal video. 

The letter of recommendation can be from a teacher, counselor, coach, mentor, someone from your faith community, a boss, someone who you have volunteered with, etc. The short personal video should highlight the student’s interests, leadership experience, why the student would like to be part of the Barry community, and what the student believes he/she/they can contribute to the Barry community. 3-minute maximum. Can be YouTube, ZeeMee, Glimpse, or another platform.

BENEFIT:

The Barry Stamps Scholars Program provides full tuition and room and board over four years, plus funds for study abroad, undergraduate research, and other exceptional learning experiences.

UNIVERSITY OF LUXEMBOURG A&O SHEARMAN SCHOLARSHIP & INTERNSHIP

LOCATION: Luxembourg

In addition to the grant, the students will have the opportunity to participate in an internship programme at A&O Shearman office in Luxembourg. Moreover, scholarship recipients will benefit from additional mentoring and soft-skills development provided by A&O Shearman, such as CV writing and job-market advice, participation in networking events, and invitations to industry conferences and seminars.

ELIGIBILITY:

Incoming or Outgoing exchange students at or from the Bachelor en Droit (Bachelor in Law) in the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance

Incoming students must commit to a complete year at the University of Luxembourg (an internship is not possible without being enrolled at the University of Luxembourg and participating in courses).

Incoming students are committed to taking the required credits and law-related studies in the Bachelor in Law, respectively Master at the University of Luxembourg.

Exchange students at or from Bachelor in Law, respectively Master in Law at or from the Faculty of Law, Economics, and Finance.

Residing, or will reside, in Luxembourg or the Greater Region of Luxembourg.

The family income of the applicants may not exceed the threshold communicated in the call for application.

Level: Bachelor (outgoing exchange student)

Bachelor (incoming exchange student)

Master (incoming exchange student)

Applicants must submit the following documents (in English, French, or German) with their application in the listed sequence as one complete PDF file:

Consent form (provided by e-mail for incoming students / via Moodle for outgoing students)

Letter of motivation

CV

Copies of diplomas, certificates and any official supplement to these (if in a language other than English, French or German, they must not be translated at this point)

Proof of their income or their parents’/persons’ income with parental authority, which must be supported by a copy of their tax return from the previous tax/financial year

Their civil status

For outgoing exchange students: proof of residence in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg or in the Greater Region of Luxembourg. For incoming exchange students: letter of acceptance at the University of Luxembourg

For outgoing exchange students: a certificate of enrollment at the University of Luxembourg.

For incoming exchange students: a letter of acceptance at the University of Luxembourg is sufficient at this point (a certificate of enrolment is necessary at a later time)

Applications for the academic year 2026-2027 must be submitted to the email address communicated in the call for application.

Amount: €5,000 per student + paid internship
