JACOBS FOUNDATION GLOBAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

The Jacobs Foundation Research Fellowship Program is a globally competitive fellowship program for early and mid-career researchers whose work is dedicated to improving the learning and development of children and youth worldwide. The relevant disciplines include, but are not limited to, education sciences, psychology, economics, sociology, behavioral science, computer science, pedagogy, linguistics, neurosciences, and the science of learning.

ELIGIBILITY:

The ideal candidate

has obtained his/her PhD or equivalent degree within the past 10 years;

is employed at an institution of higher education or research institute;

is conducting high-quality research in an area of interest to the Jacobs Foundation;

is committed to engaging with the Jacobs Foundation and the Fellowship Network and contributing to the Foundation’s activities

The Jacobs Foundation is especially interested in the following questions, which are aligned with our research agenda:

How do variations in individuals and contextual factors influence learning and development and learning outcomes?

How can we design for learner variability at scale to enable all children to reach their potential as learners and in life?

How can we produce interventions that reduce growing inequalities in children’s learning and overcome disparities in the impacts of digital technologies?

How can we address the role of data to help learners and teachers make informed decisions about their learning and teaching?

ERASMUS MUNDUS JOINT MASTER IN IMAGING SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

LOCATION: Italy

The Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM) in Imaging Programme equips students with a strong theoretical foundation in these fields and a deep understanding of image, video, and multi-dimensional visual signals. The program’s primary focus revolves around harnessing machine learning, deep learning, and artificial intelligence tools for visual signal processing, preparing students to comprehend the capabilities and limitations of visual AI technologies.

ELIGIBILITY:

Prospective students should satisfy the eligibility requirements of the tracks of their application. The full list of eligibility requirements will be announced here after the Consortium Partnership Agreement has been agreed upon.

Basic degree requirements:

A bachelor’s degree in information and communication technologies, computer or electrical engineering, or in a related field with

At least 30 ECTS in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics, including courses in probability theory and statistics and linear algebra, and

60 ECTS in Computer Engineering, or equivalent, including a course in object-oriented programming and one of the following two courses: databases or signal and image processing.

English language requirements: TOEFL: CBT -210 / IBT – 78 / PBT- 547/ NEW! TOEFL ITP® Plus for China – 543, new TOEFL iBT® Special Home Edition English certificate.

CAMBRIDGE: Proficiency (CPE) – Pass at grade C / Advanced (CAE)– Pass at grade C

ENGLISH AS BACHELOR MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION: Students who can prove their language skills without a language test if you have completed an upper secondary degree or a university degree with English as the language of instruction in an EU/EEA country, Switzerland, the USA, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand. The language in which your degree was taught must be stated on your degree certificate, the official transcript of records, diploma supplement or other official document issued by the awarding institution. An automatic ranking is built based on the evaluators’ assessment.

Please ensure that the provided language test scores are valid within the application period. Expired language test scores are not accepted as proof of language proficiency in English. If your scores do not fulfil the minimum score requirements, your application will not be processed further.

Only the language tests listed above are accepted. Any other language proofs or statements provided by a university or other institution will not be accepted. Completion of a B.Sc. degree or other previous studies in English in countries other than those mentioned above does not grant exemption from the language test requirements.

If the country where you have completed/are studying your Bachelor degree is not listed below then there are no Country-specific requirements.

The requirements (minimum GPA included) are strict, and no exceptions will be considered.
