PORTLAND STATE UNIVERSITY INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP

The International Achievement Scholarship is awarded to new incoming international undergraduate students on the basis of their academic achievement. Students who maintain high academic standing are automatically reviewed for the scholarship at the time of admission.  All admitted undergraduate international students are automatically considered for merit scholarships of up to $10,000 per year.

ELIGIBILITY:

Eligible students typically have entering equivalent grade point averages (GPA) of at least 3.25 out of a possible 4.0 grading scale; 

Students sponsored by state entities or outside parties/organizations  may be ineligible for the award. Specific university-level partnerships are also excluded from eligibility. 

The International Achievement Scholarship is restricted to new admission applicants only.  Students already enrolled at Portland state are not eligible to apply for this scholarship or to request  an increase in an award amount after the point of admission;

Recipients must be classified as non-resident for tuition classification status;

Students who have not yet met the TOEFL/English Language Proficiency requirement are eligible for this scholarship; however, activation of the scholarship will be delayed until after the ESL restriction has been lifted and the students are fully eligible for unrestricted enrollment in academic degree-seeking coursework.

No separate application is required. Applicants are automatically considered.

PSU scholarship applications are accepted though May 1 and must be submitted separately from your admission application. Scholarships are awarded once each year.

AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY MERVYN & KATALIN PATERSON FELLOWSHIP/SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

LOCATION: Australia

This scholarship is offered by the ANU College of Science to PhD Domestic, International, Current students in the field of Earth Science.

ELIGIBILITY:

Students enrolled full-time in a graduate research program in the Research School of Earth Sciences. Must have been enrolled in their research program for a minimum of 6 months.

Selection basis: The Committee shall select for the Scholarship a person who, in the opinion of the Committee, is at the stage in their Program where their research would be greatly enhanced by their attending a major international conference and visiting an overseas institution.

Ongoing eligibility of this scholarship is the continuation based on academic performance

Applicants are required to submit a well-defined proposal indicating how the student will benefit from the experience. If the proposal is for time at another institution, the applicant will need to provide evidence of the host institution’s acceptance. Details of any support from the host institution or other sources must also be provided. Applications should be supported by the student’s supervisor.

Scholarship can be assessed anytime of the year.

BENEFIT:

$ 7,500 per annum
