LANCASTER GLOBAL SCHOLARSHIP – MASTER’S

LOCATION: United Kingdom

For international applicants with a first-class (or equivalent) degree. The scholarship is awarded as a tuition fee waiver for Postgraduate Taught programmes (excluding MBA programmes) and will be automatically awarded if students meet the eligibility criteria and terms and conditions outlined below.

ELIGIBILITY:

For Postgraduate Taught applicants (excluding applicants to MBA programmes), please refer to the equivalent qualifications information.

The Lancaster Global Scholarship is available for eligible applicants to all full-time and part-time Postgraduate taught degree-level programmes, offered fully on-campus at Lancaster University for October 2025 entry.

Applicants must be in receipt of either a conditional or an unconditional offer for a place at Lancaster University for October 2025 entry, which you have accepted.

Fully funded applicants are not eligible for this scholarship.

Partially funded applicants for less than 50% of their fees would be eligible for this scholarship.

Awardees must be classed as Overseas or International fee-paying students for tuition fee purposes, for the duration of their studies. If you are awarded the scholarship and are subsequently reassessed as a ‘Home’ fee-payer, you will no longer be eligible for the scholarship.

Pathway students progressing from INTO Lancaster University are eligible for the Global Scholarship.

There is no separate application process for the Lancaster Master’s Scholarship. Eligible students will be identified automatically through their University application. The scholarship is confirmed once Lancaster University is in receipt of your final exam transcript.

£5,000 in your first year of study.

UNITED NATIONS UNIVERSITY RESONA BANK SCHOLARSHIP

LOCATION: Japan

The Resona Bank scholarship is competitive and may be awarded to eligible students who have been accepted for enrolment in the MSc in Sustainability program. There is no separate application form for the scholarships as it is part of the main online application form for admission

ELIGIBILITY:

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Applicants must hold citizenship of a developing countryand demonstrate a need for financial assistance;

Applicants who have demonstrated interest in the broader work of the United Nations;

Applicants who are currently living in Japan under a working visa are NOT eligible for the scholarship;

Applicants who are already enrolled in other postgraduate degree programmes are not eligible. This includes those who have already obtained a master’s degree at an institution other than UNU-IAS;

Applicants must not be a recipient of other scholarships concurrently.

BENEFIT:

The Resona Bank scholarship covers the full cost of tuition and provides a monthly allowance of 130,000 JPY (subject to change) for living expenses for a maximum of 24 months. Travel costs to and from Japan (up to JPY 260,000) are covered, and a research allowance is provided. Other costs such as visa handling fees and health/accident insurance must be covered by the student.
