THE ÉMILE BOUTMY UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP

The Émile Boutmy scholarship is awarded to students arriving at Sciences Po for their first year of studies. The Émile Boutmy scholarship fund benefits from the generous support of its sponsors (benefactors, companies, and foundations) who are eager to allow the most deserving international students to study at Sciences Po. 

ELIGIBILITY:

To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be: first time applicants to Sciences Po, from a non-European Union statewhose household does not file taxes within the European Union, and who have been admitted to the Undergraduate program.

The Émile Boutmy scholarship may be combined with external scholarships (Eiffel, AEFE, French government scholarships, etc.). 

Applicants from foreign secondary schools: Applicants from foreign secondary schools must indicate that they are applying to the Émile Boutmy scholarship in the “Financial information” section of their Sciences Po application.

Please note that we might ask applicants to provide proof of income and documents explaining their family situation (e.g. income tax return for both parents, payslips, divorce certificate, unemployment benefits, documents related to alimony, child support or retirement pensions, death certificate…).

If you have already been refused the Émile Boutmy scholarship it is not possible for you to apply again.

BENEFIT:

A tuition grant of €14,720 per year for the three years of the undergraduate program.

UNU RECTOR’S SCHOLARSHIP

Application Deadline: February 12, 2025

LOCATION: Japan

The UNU Rector’s Scholarship is competitive and may be awarded to eligible students who have been accepted for enrolment in the MSc in Sustainability program. There is no separate application form for the scholarships

ELIGIBILITY:

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Applicants must be persons from developing countrieswho can demonstrate a need for financial assistance;

Applicants must have a demonstrated interest in the broader work of the United Nations;

Applicants who are currently living in Japan under a working visa are NOT eligible for the scholarship;

Applicants who are already enrolled in other postgraduate degree programmes are not eligible. This includes those who have already obtained a master’s degree at an institution other than UNU-IAS; 

Applicants must not be recipients of other scholarships concurrently.

*Developing countries are included in the latest OECD DAC list

BENEFIT:

The UNU Rector’s Scholarship covers the full cost of tuition and provides a monthly allowance of 130,000 JPY (subject to change) for living expenses for a maximum of 24 months. Travel costs to and from Japan with a fix amount are also covered, and a research allowance is provided. Other costs such as visa handling fees and health/accident insurance must be covered by the student.
