GLOBAL HEALTH CORPS AFRICA FELLOWSHIP

GHC welcomes young professionals from Burundi, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe to apply for paid 13 month fellowships with health organizations in Malawi, Rwanda, Uganda, and Zambia. They recruits and selects highly qualified applicants with diverse skill sets and backgrounds to be placed in high-impact organizations for a year-long fellowship.

ELIGIBILITY:

Be 30 years of age or younger.

Hold a bachelor’s or undergraduate university degree.

Be proficient in English.

Be a citizen or legal permanent resident of Burundi, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia Malawi, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, or Zimbabwe.

HANSEN LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM FOR FUTURE LEADERS (FULLY-FUNDED)

Applications are open for the Hensen Leadership Institute Fellowship 2024. All application materials must be in by these deadlines; late submissions will not be reviewed.

ELIGIBILITY:

To participate in the Hansen Summer Institute, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:

NON – U.S. STUDENTS: (from zones of conflict and/or social strife)

Upper division undergraduate with 2 years of college/university or graduate student with a professional interest in international relations, diplomacy, international economic development or related fields.

Students must be between the ages of 20-25 at the start of the program.

Must have demonstrated leadership potential outside of the classroom in the community, nation or region.

Have an academic adviser verify in writing the candidate’s English proficiency

Have a valid international passport with U.S. visa if necessary by the time the program begins

Preference will be given to those who have never visited the United States

BENEFIT:

The Hansen Summer Institute is fully funded by the Fred J. Hansen Foundation. This includes international airfare, room and board, and all programmatic costs. If selected the only cost to participants will be the fees incurred in obtaining a passport and spending money.

If you are selected as a participant, we will provide all the necessary documentation to assist in your U.S. visa application, including a letter of acceptance, a letter defining our financial support, a DS-2019 issued by the University of San Diego and a receipt for your paid SEVIS fees.
