UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT LSA UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS

Application Deadline: April 10, 11:59 pm EST

LOCATION: USA

Every year, the LSA Scholarships Office awards scholarships to newly admitted international students in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA). These scholarships are renewable for two to four years. The scholarships are awarded based on the University of Michigan LSA College application, student grades, and whether the family needs financial assistance to pay for school.

ELIGIBILITY:

To qualify for an International Student Scholarship, a student must:

Be a newly admitted transfer or first-year student who is accepted into a degree program in the College of LSA for the Fall term.

NOT be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Be enrolled (or planning to enroll) as a full-time student (12 or more credit hours each term).

The deadline to apply is April 10, 11:59 pm EST.  Applications are reviewed as they come in. Applying early increases your chances of being matched with a scholarship.  All scholarship notices are sent by April 17.  The LSA enrollment deadline is May 1.

The application for the International Student Scholarship for the 2026-2027 school year is now open.  Students must first be accepted to the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA).
After they are accepted, they can apply for the scholarship.

Students can log in and apply for the International Student Scholarship after they receive their admission letter (Early Decision, Early Action, or Regular Decision).

BENEFIT:

For qualified LSA students, the International Student Scholarship helps to cover the cost of attendance for Fall and Winter terms.

The amount of each scholarship varies, depending on students’ cost of attendance and available funding. All International Student Scholarships can be renewed for two to four years of undergraduate study. If students continue to meet the requirements, International Student Scholarships automatically renew before each fall semester.
