UEA INTERNATIONAL UG MERIT SCHOLARSHIP

LOCATION: United Kingdom

This scholarship is an automatic award for students paying overseas fees and joining the first or second year of an eligible undergraduate Bachelors degree programme in September 2026.

The scholarship is awarded for every year of study, excluding placement years, years in industry, years/semesters abroad, or any other occasion where a student is not paying the full Overseas tuition fee.

ELIGIBILITY:

Country / Region: International, Asia, Africa, South America, Middle East, North America, Australia, EU, and Europe

Type of Course: Undergraduate

Course Start Date: September 2026

In the School of Engineering, Maths, and Physics and our School of Environmental Sciences, all courses with a £29,300 fee will receive a scholarship of £10,000 per year. Note that this does not apply to £29,300 fee courses in any other schools. For the full list of 50 programmes with a £10,000 scholarship, please see the General Terms and Conditions.

This scholarship will be confirmed automatically shortly after your offer is made. No separate application is required.

BENEFIT:

YEAR 1 ENTRY

This award is worth: £5,000 for every year of study

Or

£10,000 for every year of study for an eligible programme in Engineering, Physics or Environmental Sciences 

YEAR 2 ENTRY (excluding students joining from UEA International Study Centre)

This award is worth £5,000 for every year of study if you are a national of, or domiciled in: Bangladesh, Colombia, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Uzbekistan, Vietnam or Zimbabwe.

£4,000 for every year of study, for rest of the world.

This award is worth: £4,000 for every year of study.

This will be deducted from tuition fees on an annual basis, in line with our terms and conditions.

VICE-CHANCELLOR INTERNATIONAL EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP AT CHARLES STURT UNIVERSITY

The Vice-Chancellor International Excellence Scholarship is awarded to eligible new commencing international applicants; this scholarship is for outstanding students who demonstrate Charles Sturt values and community contributions.

ELIGIBILITY:

Awarded to eligible new 2026 commencing international applicants studying in internal/on-campus mode at Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Dubbo, Melbourne, Orange, Port Macquarie, Sydney, or Wagga Wagga in the approved courses.

The scholarship is not available for continuing or transferring students. Applicants need to have achieved an academic entry score of 80 percent or higher in their previous studies.

Applicants must submit their application in the scholarship application portal before they commence their first week of study at the University.

Students must apply using their own correct email address. Applications submitted using the email address of an agent or representative will not be accepted.

“Unconditional offer” means that the applicant has met all of the conditions of their conditional offer, including meeting the English language proficiency requirements, providing certified documentation, passing the genuine student checks, etc. Please Note: For many countries, applicants will be required to apply for admission via an approved Charles Sturt University education agent.
