IMPERIAL COLLEGE LONDON AFRICAN FUTURE LEADER

This scholarship supports Imperial’s commitment to diversity and inclusion by empowering talented students from across Africa to join their international student community and contribute their unique experiences and ambitions.

ELIGIBILITY:

This scholarship is open to applicants who are residents of one of the 54 African countries, as defined by the United Nations.

Applicants must demonstrate:

An outstanding track record of leadership and/or leadership potential, which may be shown through academic achievements, work experience, internships, or community involvement

A strong overall programme application, including interview performance and professional experience

A commitment to contributing positively to the Imperial community and bringing diverse perspectives to the Business School

Please note: This scholarship is not available to continuing students.

Applicants who apply to one of the eligible programmes and receive an offer will automatically be considered for this scholarship.

You will receive a decision on your scholarship application within approximately two weeks of receiving your offer.

Scholarships are awarded throughout the admissions cycle, but as funding is limited, early application is strongly encouraged.

Imperial College London is offering the Jack Hirst Postgraduate Taught/Master’s Research Scholarships to academically excellent students from Nigeria for the academic year 2026/2027.

ELIGIBILITY:

This scholarship is open to applicants who meet all of the following criteria:

You are a Nigerian national.

You are currently studying or conducting research in Chemistry at a Nigerian academic institution at the time of your application.

You have received an offer for a place on one of the eligible Chemistry Master’s courses at Imperial College London for 2026 entry.

You are not a continuing student (i.e., you must be starting a new course in 2026).

To be considered, you must email the Chemistry Department at chemres@imperial.ac.uk by 23:59 (UK local time) on 22 May 2026, stating that you would like to be considered for this scholarship.

Please note: This scholarship is not available to continuing students.

Apply for one of the eligible Chemistry Master’s courses and receive an offer for 2026 entry.
