FLANDERS MASTER MIND SCHOLARSHIP FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

LOCATION: Belgium

The Flemish Ministry of Education and Training awards scholarships for master’s programmes in Flanders and Brussels to outstanding students from around the world. The grant is paid in instalments and covers accommodation costs, insurances and a significant amount of their living expenses. If you are interested, you first need to apply to one of the Flemish host institutions that participates in the Master Mind Scholarship Programme.

ELIGIBILITY:

All nationalities, except for Russian (see news item for more information), can apply. The previous degree obtained should be from a higher education institution located outside Flanders. International students who have been on credit mobility in a hosting Flemish higher education institution are still eligible for a Master Mind Scholarship.

The applicant applies to take up a master’s degree programme at a Flemish higher education institution.

The applicant should have a high standard of academic performance and/or potential

The student has a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.5 out of 4.0

Students should not combine this scholarship with another scholarship from the Flemish government or an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship.

There are a number of scholarships reserved for students from certain countries: Japan (3), Mexico (3), Palestine (2) and USA (5). These countries are priority countries for the Flemish government.

BENEFIT:

A Master Mind Scholarship includes a grant of €10. 000 + a tuition fee waiver per academic year (60 ECTS) per academic year according to the details mentioned in the section Payment of the scholarship.

Developing Solutions is our flagship master’s scholarship, founded in 2001, for students from African, South Asian, and other selected Commonwealth countries. This scholarship programme is designed for international students who want to make a difference to the development of key economic, environmental, structural, social, or political structures in their home country.

ELIGIBILITY:

To apply for this scholarship, you must:

be domiciled in Africa, India or one of the selected Commonwealth countries listed below

be classed as an overseas student for fee purposes

hold an offer to start a full-time masters (including MRes) for 2024/2025 at the University of Nottingham UK, studying in the Faculty of EngineeringFaculty of Medicine and Health SciencesFaculty of Science or Faculty of Social Sciences

BENEFIT:

The University of Nottingham is offering scholarships covering 50% or 100% of full-time masters tuition fees. These one-year scholarships are available to support innovative and passionate students who can successfully demonstrate their ingenuity for developing solutions that will impact their home countries and incite change.
