GENERATION GOOGLE SCHOLARSHIP (EMEA)

The Generation Google Scholarship: for women in computer science was established to help students pursuing computer science degrees excel in technology and become leaders in the field. The program is open to students who meet all the minimum qualifications. They strongly encourage students who identify as women to apply.

ELIGIBILITY:

To be eligible to apply, applicants must:

Be currently enrolled as a full-time student in a Bachelors program at an accredited university or college for the 2023-2024 academic year

Intend to be enrolled in or accepted as a full-time student in a Bachelors program at an accredited university in Europe, Middle East or Africa for the 2024-2025 academic year

Be studying computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related technical field

Demonstrate a strong academic record

Exemplify leadership and demonstrate passion for improving representation of underrepresented groups in computer science and technology

BENEFIT:

Selected students will receive a 7,000 EUR award (or local equivalent) for the 2024-2025 academic year.

ODI FELLOWSHIP SCHEME

LOCATION: Multiple Regions

The ODI Fellowship Scheme gives early-career economists and statisticians the chance to work as public sector civil servants on two-year contracts in low- and middle-income countries in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, the Pacific and the Western Balkans. ODI Fellows are typically employed as local civil servants, reporting to local managers.

ELIGIBILITY:

The ODI Fellowship Scheme is open to candidates of all nationalities who have a master’s degree or PhD in economics, statistics or a related field.

Suitable specialised qualifications at postgraduate level include but aren’t limited to agricultural economics, environmental economics, international economics, health economics, development economics, and econometrics and statistics.

For those studying for a postgraduate degree at the time of application, the award of a fellowship is conditional upon the successful completion of the postgraduate degree.

BENEFIT:

Total compensation net of tax is approximately £32,600 per annum in the first year and £34,600 in the second year. The compensation is inclusive of a housing allowance that varies according to cost of living in-country.
