ELIGIBILITY:

You must register on the Betano App with the promo code “TITAN10“.

You must be a bona fide Nigerian citizen.

You must be at least 21 years of age and not more than 39 years old.

You must be a Graduate or an undergraduate of a Higher Institution of Learning.

You must be in excellent physical and mental health.

You must be willing and able to move into and reside in the “The Titan House’’ in Lagos for the duration of the 10 weeks of the show.

You must be willing and able to cover all your travel expenses to and from the location of the “The Next Titan House” where all contestants will be resident throughout the duration of the show.

You must be willing and able to fully participate for the duration of the 10 weeks of the show, based on the dates set by the Producers.

You must be willing and able to peaceful co-exist with the other contestants who will be your housemates during the duration of the show.

Neither you nor any of your immediate family members, must be an employee, producer, director or agent of Bravopoints International Ltd, Betano Nigeria, and other Sponsors, of the show.

UNIVERSITY OF GLASGOW MRES/PHD IN ECONOMICS STUDENTSHIP

Application Deadline: Wednesday, 1 May 2025 

LOCATION: Scotland

The University of Glasgow will fund up to two studentships covering tuition fees and a stipend for up to five years to enable students to receive comprehensive MREs (pre-PhD) training and to subsequently undertake supervised independent research in a chosen field of economics, leading to a PhD. Funding is annually renewable and includes small teaching obligations starting from year 2. 

ELIGIBILITY:

To be eligible, you must:

Hold an offer for the MRes Economics starting in September 2025.

Application Deadlines:

March 2025: First round of awards

Candidates who apply for the Economics MRes by Friday 1 March 2025 will be considered for the scholarship in the second half of March. Candidates will be informed of the outcome by email by Friday 29 March 2025. Those who are unsuccessful will not be considered again.

May 2025: Second round of awards

Candidates who apply for the Economics MREs by Wednesday, May 1, 2025, will be considered for the second round of the award for the remaining scholarships. Candidates will be informed of the outcome by email by Wednesday, 29 May 2025.

Late applications 

Candidates who submit their applications after 1 May 2025 may be considered for an award if one becomes available.

There is a deadline of 1 July 2025 for international applicants. Candidates will be considered for an award if one becomes available.

There is a deadline of 1 August 2025 for home applicants. Candidates will be considered for an award if one becomes available.

Note: You are required to attend a 2-week introductory course in mathematical methods before commencing the MRes programme.

BENEFIT:

The scholarship will run for a maximum of 5 years. Each year’s funding is conditional on successful progression and acceptance into the PhD programme and includes:

tuition fees at the standard Home/EU or international rate

an annual bursary equivalent to the RCUK rate 

during the 3 PhD years, there will be a research support grant of £750 per annum
