ABERDEEN GLOBAL SCHOLARSHIP – POSTGRADUATE (FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2025/26)

The University of Aberdeen is delighted to offer new self-funded international on-campus postgraduate Masters students starting in AY25/26 a £8,000 tuition fee waiver. Please note that this scholarship is only available for Aberdeen campus students.

ELIGIBILITY:

The University of Aberdeen is keen to welcome talented students from all over the world.

The scholarship is available to all self-funded full-time on-campus Masters students classified as international fee status and starting their studies in either September 2025 or January 2026. The scholarship applies to both taught and research Masters (research Masters that start outside of September or January in the 2025/26 academic year are still eligible for the scholarship). The scholarship is in the form of a tuition fee waiver.

To be eligible, students must be registering for a full-time on-campus program and cannot be in receipt of external scholarships or other University of Aberdeen scholarships, except for awards granted by the University of Aberdeen Development Trust. Please note that the scholarship does not apply to the DPLP or Dentistry.

The Aberdeen Global Scholarship does not require an application. It is automatically applied to all eligible students and will be reflected on their CAS.

IFT FIRST TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIPS

IFT FIRST stands for Food Improved by Research, Science, and Technology. Taking place in Chicago, IL, from July 13-16, 2025, IFT FIRST brings together global experts to explore how science and innovation are transforming food systems. Through presentations, panels, and networking, you’ll learn about the latest trends, breakthroughs, and challenges shaping the future of food. For students, IFT FIRST is the premier opportunity to jumpstart your career.

ELIGIBILITY:

Travel stipends are open to all students, regardless of membership status.

Applicants must be graduate or undergraduate students pursuing a degree in food science or a related field. Certain scholarships may have specific eligibility as determined by the sponsor.

Applicants must not be receiving funding from another source.

Recipients will need to submit a written testimonial regarding their experience at IFT FIRST and a thank-you note to the sponsor.

Recipients will be required to submit a W-9 form for a U.S. domestic student and a W8BEN for students located outside of the U.S.
