AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY MERVYN & KATALIN PATERSON FELLOWSHIP/SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

This scholarship is offered by the ANU College of Science to PhD Domestic, International, Current students in the field of Earth Science.

ELIGIBILITY:

Students enrolled full-time in a graduate research program in the Research School of Earth Sciences. Must have been enrolled in their research program for a minimum of 6 months.

Selection basis: The Committee shall select for the Scholarship a person who, in the opinion of the Committee, is at the stage in their Program where their research would be greatly enhanced by their attending a major international conference and visiting an overseas institution.

Ongoing eligibility of this scholarship is the continuation based on academic performance

Applicants are required to submit a well-defined proposal indicating how the student will benefit from the experience. If the proposal is for time at another institution, the applicant will need to provide evidence of the host institution’s acceptance. Details of any support from the host institution or other sources must also be provided. Applications should be supported by the student’s supervisor.

Scholarship can be assessed anytime of the year.

GREEN-STEM scholarships will empower up to 92 young talents, students and staff to experience an intra-Africa mobility in the partner institution from short to long term:

First call is open now to women for full programs in one of the green-stem partner universities

SCHOLARSHIPS are only available when the HOST university (where you will study) is different from the HOME university (where you are studying or you have studied)

ELIGIBILITY:

This call is only open to Women

Target Group 1: Women of African nationality and resident in an African country,
registered/admitted in or having obtained a degree from one of the GREEN-STEM African partners

Target Group 2: Women of African nationality and resident in an African country, registered/admitted in or having obtained a degree from another University which is not participating as partner but is established in Africa. This GREEN-STEM first call is restricted to TG2 from AFRETEC universities.

Women with specific needs or assistance are welcome and will be supported during their mobility.

Second Call for Applications (To Be Open Second Semester 2024)
Credit Seeking/Short Term Scholarship Conditions:

Target Group 1: Men and Women of African nationality and resident in an African country, being registered in one of the GREEN-STEM African universities

People in disability are welcome and will be specifically supported during their mobility

Staff Exchange:

Candidates MUST be staff from one of the GREEN-STEM African universities.

22 months in an eligible Master’s degree program

4 MSc scholarships per partner are expected

36 months in an eligible Doctoral Degree program
Monthly allowance: 1230€

2 PhD scholarships per partner are expected

SECOND CALL:

5 month Master’s exchange:
