UNIVERSITY OF EDINBURG MACQUEEN SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The University of Edinburg is delighted to announce the Macqueen Scholarship for Postgraduates applications. Shine a light on the experiences of sole carers with this scholarship, which supports postgraduate social work research on one-parent families. The scholarship is funded by a generous donation from The Julie-Ann Macqueen Trust.

ELIGIBILITY:

Applicants must submit two separate applications by the deadline:

Application for admission to the PhD in Social Work degree in the School of Social and Political Science (must be submitted at least 5 working days before the scholarship deadline)

BENEFIT:

The award covers:

Full tuition fees (UK, EU or Overseas level)

The stipend will be set to the UKRI level for 2024/25. For reference, the UKRI level for 2023/24 is currently £18,622 for full-time students, or the pro rata equivalent for part-time students.

a £750 annual research grant

The award is made for 3 years for full time students or 6 years pro-rata for part-time students.

This award has been made possible by a generous donation from The Julie-Ann Macqueen Trust. Ms Macqueen played a leading role in bringing the struggles of single-parent families to the attention of the public and policy and law-makers. 

The generous donation from The Julie-Ann Macqueen Trust will fund two Postgraduate Research Social Work scholarships for students whose research focuses on one-parent families.

THE ANNUAL IELTSING ESSAY SCHOLARSHIP

Application Deadline:  March 31st 2024.

LOCATION: Multiple Regions

IELTSing appreciates the value of education as well as the ever-increasing costs of obtaining one. That’s why our firm is excited to offer an annual scholarship and be a part of the continued success of hardworking students. This yearly scholarship of $1,500 is designed to alleviate some of the financial pressure on promising students wishing to further their education at the college and university level. This opportunity is open to all current college students as well as incoming freshmen! This year’s topic is “IELTS exam for study abroad”

ELIGIBILITY:

18 years or above

Candidate must be enrolled in Undergraduate/Graduate course
in a Reputed  University 

Plagiarism-Free 

1000 – 1500 words

The essay for review must be plagiarism-free.

The sentences in the Essay must make sense.

The essay must be in the third person narrative.

The use of slang words is prohibited.

Abbreviations must not be used.

Do not repeat the sentences.

The language of the essay is fixed to ENGLISH language.

BENEFIT:

The winner of the IELTSing Scholarship will receive the following:

$1,500 scholarship

one branded travel backpack

The scholarship may be used for tuition, room and board, books, or travel. Funds will be sent directly to the winner’s study abroad program or university.
