UNIVERSITY OF ST. ANDREWS GLOBAL FELLOWSHIP SCHEME

LOCATION: United Kingdom

Applicants to the Global Fellowship Scheme should be recognised as significant scholars in their field or emerging leaders who have made a contribution to original research that extends the frontier of knowledge. Global Fellows are expected to hold an established academic position.

ELIGIBILITY:

Candidates must have completed a PhD degree or equivalent before submitting an application to the scheme.

Candidates must also be based outside the UK and be employed in a university, research institute or similar.

Global Fellows will be expected to engage virtually with students and colleagues throughout the 2025-2026 academic year, and participate in one visit of up to four weeks between 1 August 2025 and 31 July 2026. Applicants not available during this time should consider applying in a future round of the scheme.

Before applying, applicants are encouraged to identify shared research interests and alignment with their proposed host school. They may also wish to contact St. Andrews academics to discuss the proposed collaboration and Global Fellowship application.

Applicants should send a completed Global Fellowship application form (Word) and an academic CV to globalfellows@st-andrews.ac.uk by 17:00 (GMT) on 3 March 2025.

BENEFIT:

The University provides all Global Fellows with:

a stipend of £1000 per 28-day visit (or per-day sum for shorter visits)

self-catered accommodation in a one-bedroom apartment or equivalent

return airfare in economy class, booked by the University

airport transfers to and from St. Andrews

access to University IT and library facilities

UNIVERSITY OF LIVERPOOL UNDERGRADUATE GLOBAL ADVANCEMENT SCHOLARSHIP

The University of Liverpool Undergraduate Global Advancement Scholarship rewards high-achieving international students starting an undergraduate programme at the University of Liverpool in September 2025.

ELIGIBILITY:

To be eligible for this award you must:

be liable to pay full tuition fees at the international rate

be starting a new undergraduate degree at our Liverpool campus in academic year 2025/26, excluding clinical programmes in Medicine or Dental Surgery

achieve AAA grades in A levels or equivalent qualification.

You’ll be assessed on the qualifications used to gain entry into the University only.

You don’t need to make an application to receive the University of Liverpool Undergraduate Global Advancement Scholarship. It will be automatically allocated to all eligible students. 

This award has no exchangeable cash value. 

BENEFIT:

£3,000 will be deducted from your tuition fees in your first year of study

If you achieve first class honours (70%) in your first year, you’ll then receive a £1,000 fee reduction in your second year of study

If you maintain this grade in your second year, you’ll then receive a £1,000 fee reduction in your third year of study. 

All tuition fee discounts are capped at 50% of the relevant fee.
