DELL TECHNOLOGIES GRADUATION PROJECT COMPETITION FOR MIDDLE EAST, AFRICA AND TURKEY

Dell Technologies has launched the annual graduation project competition for senior undergraduate students from universities in Middle East, Africa and Turkey. The competition is intended to spark the creativity of students for their graduation projects to play an active role in the Transformation of IT and get the opportunity to shine and win prizes.

ELIGIBILITY:

Students who wish to participate should be in their senior year and should be enrolled in any academic Institution in the Middle East, Africa and Turkey.

Students should have a faculty member as their supervisor.

Students should be a non-governmental employees and full-time university students.

Authenticity of the information provided by the students should be validated by the head of his/her department or his/her faculty advisor.

Students should be listed only in one project.

All communication between Dell Technologies and the project team will be done through the project academic advisor and the designated team leader.

Each competing team should consist of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 members. One of the team members should be selected as a team leader with the following responsibilities.

The competition consists of 3 phases:

Project Abstract Submission:
Submission window: 1st of November – 30th of November 2024
Announcement of Shortlisted Projects: 25th of January 2025

Project Interim Design Layout Submission:
Submission: 10th of March 2025
Announcement of The Top 20 Finalists: Mar 30th of March 2025 that will be offered a technical mentorship from Dell Technologies.

Final Project Submission:
Submission: 5th of August 2025
The Winners Announcement – 1st of September 2025

BENEFIT:

Winners of the competition will receive cash prizes as below:

First place will receive a cash prize of $5,000

Second place will receive a cash prize of $4,000

Third place winner will receive a cash prize of $3,000

All the Top 10 team members will get recognition certificates for their achievement.

A mentoring opportunity by Dell Experts for our finalists projects (who will pass the interim phase to the final one)

A formal award ceremony will be organized at one of the major Dell Technologies events in the region. All the members of the winning team and their academic advisor(s) will be invited to attend the ceremony along with senior officials from their university/college.

AFRICAN PEACEBUILDING NETWORK INDIVIDUAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS

The Social Science Research Council (SSRC), as a part of its APN and Next Gen Program, invites research fellowship applications from African researchers, policy analysts, and practitioners working on conflict and peacebuilding issues at universities and research institutions; or regional, governmental, and nongovernmental agencies or organizations in Africa.

ELIGIBILITY:

All applicants must be African citizens currently residing in an African country. This competition is open to African academics, as well as policy analysts and practitioners. Historically marginalized persons and communities are strongly encouraged to apply, including women, Indigenous people, gender diverse, LGBTQIA+, persons with disabilities, among others.

Applicants who are academics must hold a full-time faculty or research position at an African university or research organization, and have a PhD obtained no earlier than January 2015. Applicants who have not been awarded their PhDs by June 2025 will not have their cases prioritized to be eligible as academics.

Applicants who are policy analysts or practitioners must be based in Africa at any of the following: a regional or sub-regional institution, government or nongovernmental agency, civil society organization, or media agency. Applicants must have at least a master’s degree obtained before January 2020 with at least five years of proven research and work experience in peacebuilding-related activities on the continent.

BENEFIT:

In 2025, up to twenty (20) individual fellowships will be awarded at a maximum of $15,000 each.
