THE 7TH ANNUAL EARTH PARTNER PRIZE COMPETITION (FORMERLY #CREATECOP)

The 7th annual Earth Partner Prize (formerly #CreateCOP) is now open for submissions! They invite artists of all nationalities, races, genders, and faiths, aged 14 to 30, to submit work that comments on the ecological crisis. The 2025 Earth Partner Prize is taking place in collaboration with the Global Environment Facility (GEF)—the world’s fund for the environment.⁠

ELIGIBILITY:

Between 14-30 years as of 31st October 2025.

The Earth Partner Prize encourages applicants from all corners of the world to apply and endeavours to represent as diverse a range of work as possible.

Application is FREE

Applicants can apply with any medium, including, but not limited to, photography projects, docu-style and experimental film, performance art, spoken word, musical compositions, dance, fashion design, new media, app development, and social media projects.

AI-assisted work is accepted. However, you must disclose any use of AI tools (even partial) in your project description and include a brief reflection on how you weighed their environmental cost against their creative benefits.

Your submission should be your own personal interpretation of the ecological crisis; however, participants might explore themes such as climate justice, corporate greenwashing, Indigenous rights, material innovation, wildlife and ecosystem conservation, grassroots activism, intersectional environmentalism, regeneration, the physical and mental impacts of the climate crisis, and nature-based wisdom.

BENEFIT:

Eight finalists will be awarded cash prizes of $10,000, $5,000 or $2,000. An additional 20 creatives will receive honourable mentions by a globally recognised panel of judges.

BROWN UNIVERSITY: PEMBROKE CENTER POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE, 2026-27

the Pembroke Center will award residential Postdoctoral Research Associate positions to scholars from any field whose research relates to the theme of “The Meanings of Merit: Labor, Categories of Difference, and the Creation of Knowledge.” Fellows are required to participate in a weekly research seminar and teach one undergraduate course.

ELIGIBILITY:

Candidates are selected on the basis of their scholarly potential and the relevance of their work to the research theme.

Recipients must have a PhD at the start of the fellowship and may not hold a tenured position.

Fellowships are awarded to scholars who have received their degrees from institutions other than Brown University within the last five (5) years. The term of appointment is July 1, 2026-June 30, 2027. 

The Pembroke Center is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their research, teaching, and/or service, to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.

Selected finalists will be asked to submit additional materials, including

One-page document including title and 250-word abstract of proposed research project

Project statement of five typed pages (double-spaced)

Brief representative bibliography for research proposal

Three confidential recommendation letters

Course syllabus with a course description and schedule of assigned readings for an upper-level undergraduate Gender and Sexuality Studies seminar.

BENEFIT:

The annual salary for this postdoctoral position is between $62,232 and $67,824, commensurate with years of experience, plus $2,000 for research expenses and an additional one-time $1,000 stipend to assist in the transition to Providence.
