The Jan Metzger Scholarship in Artificial Intelligence and Adaptive Systems is kindly funded through a generous donation from Sussex alumnus Jan Metzger. The scholarship is available for a student taking up a place on the Artificial Intelligence and Adaptive Systems MSc (including with industrial placement year) at Sussex in 2025.

ELIGIBILITY:

Scholarship applicants need to have accepted a full-time place on the Artificial Intelligence and Adaptive Systems MSc or Artificial Intelligence and Adaptive Systems (with an industrial placement year) MSc.

UK and Overseas applicants will be considered. For those assessed as ‘Home’ for fees, the scholarship is a full fee waiver.

The successful applicant will demonstrate experience with and engagement with open source.

Number of scholarships available: One

The institution is aware AI has been used by some applicants to produce statements for their scholarship applications. Please be advised these applications are often unsuccessful. Any personal statement submitted needs to be written by you to demonstrate your suitability for the scholarship.

QUEEN MARY, UNIVERSITY OF LONDON SANCTUARY SCHOLARSHIP 2025/26

Queen Mary University of London is offering tuition fee and maintenance support for up to two undergraduate students who are asylum seekers or have a temporary immigration status awarded as a result of a claim for asylum but outside of the immigration rules, studying on degree programmes in the Faculty of Science & Engineering or the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

ELIGIBILITY:

For your application to be considered, you must:

Have a temporary immigration status awarded as a result of a claim for asylum but outside of the immigration rules (e.g. limited leave to remain, discretionary leave to remain, humanitarian protection); or

Be an asylum seeker or child of an asylum seeker;

Be ineligible to obtain funding from the Student Loan Company due to your immigration status; and

Have submitted a UCAS application for a place on an Undergraduate course in the Faculty of Science & Engineering or the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences by 29th January 2025, have received a conditional or unconditional offer from Queen Mary University of London; and

Not already hold an equivalent or higher level qualification.

The deadline for the Sanctuary Scholarship 2025/26 is 16th May 2025
