UNIVERSITY OF WINNIPEG PRESIDENT’S SCHOLARSHIP FOR WORLD LEADERS

The University of Winnipeg President’s Scholarship for World Leaders is awarded to international students entering any of the University’s divisions for the first time: UndergraduateGraduateCollegiate, or PACE.

ELIGIBILITY:

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

Must be an international student.

Must be a student entering their first program at UWinnipeg.

Must have the equivalent of a Canadian 80% grade average, based on Grade 12 academic courses used for admission. UWinnipeg International Credential Evaluators will complete grade conversions.

PACE applicants will be assessed based on their post-secondary transcripts, as applicable.

Demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities.

Completed an admission application to UWinnipeg by the scholarship deadline.

The application for admission is complete only when the admissions office has received all application fees and supporting documentation.

Must be registered and maintain a full-time course load.

UNIVERSITY OF YORK EQUAL ACCESS SCHOLARSHIP (POSTGRADUATE)

The University of York is pleased to offer one Equal Access Scholarship for a taught postgraduate student seeking refuge in the UK. Please note that you must have applied to the university before submitting an application for this scholarship.

ELIGIBILITY:

Open to: International (non-EU) students

Open to international (non-EU) students only.

To be considered for the scholarship, you must:

Have a conditional or unconditional offer from the University of York for 2025 for a one-year postgraduate course

Have applied for asylum before you have applied for a place at university

Not have access to mainstream funding, e.g., student finance or a local authority grant.

Your current immigration status can be described as one of the following:

Discretionary/Limited Leave to Remain (DLR/LLR)

Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR)

Humanitarian Protection (HP)

Awaiting a decision on an application for refugee status

Leave as an Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Child (UASC leave)

Refused Asylum Seeker – your application for refugee status has been refused and you have submitted an appeal or a fresh claim

A dependent or partner of any of the above status groups

BENEFIT:

The scholarship provides:

a full fee waiver (you will not need to pay any tuition fees)

a maintenance award of up to £14,880 to help with living costs.
