EPFL CYD FELLOWSHIPS

To promote research and education in cyber-defence, the EPFL and the Cyber-Defence (CYD) Campus have jointly launched the “CYD Fellowships – A Talent Program for Cyber-Defence Research.”

The 12th call for applications is now open, with a rolling call for Master Thesis Fellowship applications and Proof of Concept Fellowship applications, and with a deadline of 20 August 2025 (17:00 CEST) for Doctoral and Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowship applications.

ELIGIBILITY:

The CYD Fellowships is a talent program for cyber-defence research.  It offers Master Thesis, Doctoral, and Distinguished Postdoctoral fellowships to candidates with an outstanding academic and, if applicable, professional track record. This program is highly competitive, and the primary evaluation criterion is excellence, as measured by academic records and professional accomplishments. Candidates applying for a CYD fellowship are expected to have excellent grade transcripts.

Citizens of any nationality may apply for the CYD Master Thesis Fellowships.

No age restrictions apply.

Applicants for CYD Master Thesis Fellowships must be enrolled in a Master program at

a higher education institution (university or school of applied sciences) in Switzerland and

have the endorsement of a professor/supervisor employed in this institution willing to

supervise them.

This program is highly competitive, and the primary evaluation criterion is excellence, as

measured by academic records and professional accomplishments. Candidates applying for

a CYD fellowship are expected to have excellent grade transcripts.

UBC INTERNATIONAL MAJOR ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIP (IMES) FOR VANTAGE ONE

LOCATION: Canada

Each year, International Major Entrance Scholarships (IMES) are awarded to exceptional international students entering their undergraduate studies at UBC in the Vantage One Program.

ELIGIBILITY:

All students admitted into the Vantage One Program are automatically considered for this scholarship. The awards will be granted on the basis of exceptional academic achievement, intellectual promise, and impressive extracurricular and community involvement. Students receive their scholarships when they enter Vantage One, and the scholarships are renewable for up to three additional years of study.

BENEFIT:

The scholarship totals up to $85,000, payable at up to $25,000 for your first year and up to $20,000 per year for years 2 to 4.
