UNIVERSITY OF PISA SCHOLARSHIP FOR NON-EU CITIZENS AND EU CITIZENS TO THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2026/27 (FULLY FUNDED)

Admission to the Master of Science in Exploration and Applied Geophysics (Academic Year 2026/27) is open to holders of a relevant scientific bachelor’s degree or an equivalent or superior foreign academic qualification. The applicants can be non-EU citizens and EU citizens.

ELIGIBILITY:

Admission to the Master’s Degree course is subject to satisfying the following minimum requirements:

A total of 20 ECTS in at least one of the following scientific-disciplinary sectors: Math, Physics, Chemistry and Informatics;

A total of 60 ECTS in the following scientific disciplinary sectors: Engineering, Physics and Geology.

Applicants coming from three-year degrees (or superior qualification) in Geological Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Physics, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Computer Sciences generally meet the above-listed minimum requirements.

The Master of Science in Exploration and Applied Geophysics is a two-year degree programme with compulsory and elective modules taught in English. A knowledge of the English language comparable or superior to B2 level (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) is mandatory.

Applications for the 2026/2027 Academic Year will open on November 28th at 12:00 PM (noon). There is no deadline for the applications, but non-EU students are strongly advised to apply as soon as possible to have time to prepare all the required documents.

Information on the Application Fee for Admission to Exploration and Applied Geophysics Applicants intending to submit their admission application for the Master’s degree program in Exploration and Applied Geophysics at the University of Pisa, available through the application portal at the link https://applymscenglish.unipi.it , are informed that starting from the 2025/2026 Academic Year, payment of an application fee will be required. The University of Leicester is delighted to offer 150 tuition fee waivers over the next five years to international undergraduate students. This begins with 30 tuition fee waivers available for applicants starting in September 2026.

ELIGIBILITY:

You must be starting a full-time undergraduate programme* at the University of Leicester, UK campus, commencing in September 2026 for year one, two, or three of your undergraduate programme for a maximum of three years.

You must have made Leicester your ‘firm choice’ by 30 June 2026 (if you have applied through UCAS, you will need to reply by your UCAS reply deadline, which may be earlier than this date).

You should achieve the equivalent of two grades above the standard A-level entry requirement.

All conditions of your offer must be met by 20 August 2026. 

You must be classed as an international student for fee purposes. 

Excluding Medicine, LLB Maitrise, STEM International Foundation, ‘International Year 1’ courses, and programs that exceed three years in duration. 

** For example, if the standard A-level entry requirement is advertised as ABB, this fee waiver will be awarded to applicants who achieve the equivalent of A-level AAA or higher in an international qualification (see our country pages for equivalents in our most common qualifications). Discretion will be applied where an equivalent level is not practically attainable within the marking scheme of particular international qualifications.
