The Global Peace Photo Award (formerly the Alfred Fried Photography Award) is organized by Edition Lammerhuber in partnership with Photographische Gesellschaft (PHG), UNESCO, Austrian Parliament, Austrian Parliamentary Reporting Association, International Press Institute (IPI), World Press Photo Foundation, POY LATAM, LensCulture, APA – Austria Presse Agentur, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Photographie (DGPh) e.V., UNICEF Austria and Vienna Insurance Group.

ELIGIBILITY:

The Global Peace Photo Award is open to all photographers from anywhere in the world.

Digital submissions must be saved as .jpg, with more than 3000 pixels on the longest side. Images must not include any embedded marks, logos, names, or borders.

There will be a total of €11,000 in cash prizes to be won in all 6 categories!

The Peace Image of the Year will be honoured with a cash prize of € 7,000 sponsored by the Vienna Insurance Group.

3 winners in the Stories category will each receive €1,000
1 winner in the single picture category receives €1,000
Childen’s Peace Image of the Year receives €1,000

All winning works will be awarded the Alfred Fried Peace Medal and the photographers will be invited to the award ceremony in Vienna in September 2026, with travel expenses and accommodation covered. All submitted images have the chance to take part in international exhibitions.

MONASH UNIVERSITY VICE-CHANCELLOR INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL LEAVER AWARD

LOCATION: Australia

The Monash Vice Chancellor School Leavers Award for International Students celebrates high-achieving international students enrolling in an undergraduate (coursework) degree at a Monash campus in Australia.

ELIGIBILITY:

You must be an International student

You must meet the following criteria:

Commencing student enrolled in an undergraduate degree at a Monash campus in Australia.

ATAR of 83 and above to be considered

You must have received a Monash course offer.

Award based on academic achievement.

To be eligible to accept your 2026 Vice Chancellor School Leavers Award, you must not be the recipient of any other scholarship grants or financial incentives funded by Monash University or be sponsored by other bodies/institutions or receiving discounts provided by loan agencies approved by Monash.

You must be enrolled in a minimum of 18 credit points in each semester in your first 2 semesters. For Trimester based courses, you are required to be enrolled in 36 credit points over the 3 trimesters. (Note: 1 unit is usually 6 credit points).

In the event you accept this scholarship and subsequently receive a Monash scholarship with a higher value, accepting the higher value scholarship will make this scholarship invalid.

If your residency status changes and you are no longer an international student for the teaching period the payments are related to, you will not be eligible for this scholarship.

BENEFIT:

$10,000 tuition fee reduction paid in 2 equal installments of $5,000, for one year only OR

$15,000 tuition fee reduction paid in 2 equal installments of $7,500 for one year only.

The value of a $10,000 or $15,000 tuition fee benefit is dependent on competitive ranking and the number of awards available.

Number offered: 80 scholarships available.
