MOREHEAD STATE UNIVERSITY INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIPS

Morehead State offers two scholarships specifically for international undergraduate students: the International Student Scholarship and Honors Scholarship.

ELIGIBILITY:

International Student Scholarship: Open to incoming international undergraduate freshmen or transfer students. The student must maintain at least a 2.00 GPA (on a 4-point scale) for renewal.

Eligibility criteria for freshmen or transfer students with less than 24 credit hours:

An admission index score of 450 or higher

Minimum composite ACT score of 20 or SAT combined score of 940

Eligibility criteria for transfer students with 24 credit hours or more:

Cumulative college GPA of 3.00 or higher

Honors Scholarship: Open to academically accomplished undergraduates. They’re applied after other financial aid is posted (total aid may not exceed the cost of attendance). International students may apply for this scholarship.

BENEFIT:

International Student Scholarship: These scholarships award $8,000 per year ($4,000 per semester)

Honors Scholarship: These competitive scholarships cover tuition, on-campus housing, a meal plan, and assistance with books and supplies.

Graduate Assistantships: International graduate students are also eligible for graduate assistantships—limited, competitive awards that offer financial support and experience that builds language skills, knowledge, and leadership.

EDINBURGH NAPIER UNIVERSITY WEST AFRICA BACHELOR’S/TAUGHT MASTER’S SCHOLARSHIP 

LOCATION: United Kingdom

The University of Edinburgh has partial scholarships for self-funding bachelor’s or taught master’s students from West Africa.

ELIGIBILITY:

To be eligible for this award, you must be:

Domiciled in Benin, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal and Togo at the time of application. If you are applying from another country in this region, please refer to our Sub-Saharan Africa Scholarship.

Self-funding your course.

Meet the entry criteria for a bachelor’s or taught master’s course in September 2025 and January 2026.

Scholarships are awarded automatically once you have paid your deposit payment towards your tuition fees. The number of scholarships is limited, and they are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Once you have paid your deposit, please email cas@napier.ac.uk to be considered.

Successfully progressing to each year of study to claim the award as an undergraduate student (up to a maximum award of £8,000).

For postgraduate students, the scholarship is tenable for one academic year.

BENEFIT:

They have a limited number of partial scholarships worth between £1,000 and £2,000 (GBP), available for self-funding students domiciled in West Africa (see countries below). 

For undergraduate students, the scholarship amount is available for each year of undergraduate study. This is subject to successful progression to each academic year, up to a maximum of £8,000 (GBP).
