ONTARIO GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP (OGS) PROGRAM

The Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) Program supports students in graduate studies at the master’s and doctoral levels who can apply for a merit-based scholarship through the Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) Program. Awards are available to graduate students for all disciplines of academic study at participating schools in Ontario.

ELIGIBILITY:

OGS is a merit-based scholarship. Your application is assessed and ranked using criteria determined by the school you’re planning to attend.

To be considered, you must also meet the following criteria:

You’ll be in graduate studies in the master’s or doctoral level

You’ll be enrolled in a full-time program for 2 or more terms (21 to 52 weeks in total) for the academic year you’re submitting your application.

You’ll be attending one of the following participating Ontario school:

Use your school’s OGS application. They are normally available in October.

If you’re applying to more than one graduate program at different schools, submit an OGS application for each school.

Contact the Graduate Studies Office at the school you’re planning to attend for details on their application process.

BENEFIT:

OGS awards are based on the number of terms of your consecutive studies within an academic year:

$10,000 for 2 consecutive study terms

$15,000 for 3 consecutive study terms

Each OGS award is issued for:

a minimum of 1 academic year (2 or 3 consecutive academic terms)

a maximum of 2 years (up to 6 consecutive academic terms).

UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD/ SAÏD BUSINESS SCHOOL: SKOLL SCHOLARSHIPS

Skoll Scholarships provide funding for social innovators who are interested in undertaking an MBA to enhance and broaden their skills for more effective social change. They provides full funding plus a living stipend to complete an MBA at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School for social entrepreneurs worldwide.

ELIGIBILITY:

They value and encourage diversity within the Skoll Scholarship Community.  In order to successfully tackle world-scale problems, we must bring together individuals from different cultures, religions, sectors, genders, backgrounds, and ideologies to create collaborative solutions. Belonging to a diverse community enriches our Scholars’ learning experience, teaches them to challenge ideas and be challenged in a respectful manner, and fosters a global perspective necessary in today’s world. Therefore, we encourage all candidates to apply for the Scholarship, especially women, members of historically underrepresented groups, and those from the global south.

Scholarships are awarded to candidates with a strong track record in social entrepreneurship and who intend to continue creating positive social impact after their studies.

You can demonstrate the need for the Scholarship (for example, due to previous work experiences or personal circumstances)

You must submit a complete MBA application and the Skoll Scholarship essay document by the deadline. The essay document can be found in the ‘Funding’ section of the MBA application form.

The Skoll Scholarship provides full funding plus a living stipend to complete an MBA at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School for social entrepreneurs worldwide.
