IAEA MARIE SKLODOWSKA-CURIE FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME (MSCFP)

The IAEA Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme (MSCFP) seeks to inspire and support young women to pursue a career in the nuclear field. To that end, the MSCFP provides scholarships to selected students studying towards a master’s degree in nuclear related subjects as well as internship opportunities facilitated by IAEA.

ELIGIBILITY:

The IAEA MSCFP is open to students from IAEA Member States who meet the following entry requirements:

Female candidates;

Accepted by or enrolled in an accredited university in master’s programme in a nuclear related field.

Preference will be given to applicants with above average academic credentials (75% or above or GPA > 3.0 out of 4.0).

The programme supports young women studying in nuclear related fields relevant to the IAEA’s work to advance the safe, secure and peaceful uses of nuclear science and technology such as nuclear engineering, nuclear physics and chemistry, nuclear medicine, isotopic techniques, radiation biology, nuclear safety, nuclear security, non-proliferation and nuclear law. The documents required in addition to completed online application form are:

Copy of the Passport/National ID

Official acceptance/admission letter from university into the master’s programme indicating the nuclear related field of study and duration of the programme

Statement of tuition fees/confirmation of tuition costs

If applicable, documents about other scholarships you have for the master’s programme for which you are seeking MSCFP support.

Completed reference templates sent directly to MSCFP by referees by the application deadline (download the form here). One reference is MANDATORY, second is preferred.

NOTE: All application documents must be submitted in English using the MSCFP online application form. If documents are submitted in original language please also include official translation in English. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

BENEFIT:

The students are awarded up to €20,000 for tuition costs and up to €20,000 for living costs for the master’s programme.

PETER DRUCKER CHALLENGE – A UNIQUE ESSAY CONTEST

Through your essays, they seek to explore these critical questions, offering insights that could guide the reimagining of education for a world in flux. Share your visions, propose solutions, and join in a collective effort to redefine the essence and objectives of education for the next generation in the following topic-related questions and their focus areas below:

Identifying Challenges: What are the most pressing sources of disruption in our world today, and how do they shape your outlook on future education?

Leadership for Tomorrow: What qualities and capabilities will tomorrow’s leaders need to collaborate and navigate through the turbulence of our times?

Educational Readiness: How does the current education system equip young people with the necessary skills and competencies to meet the challenges ahead? If not, what transformative changes are needed?

Evolving Models: In light of continuous global shifts, how should the traditional model of education change?

Self-Directed Learning: How important has it become to take charge of your own educational journey?  What implications does personalised education have for formal educational institutions?

Future of Learning and Teaching: Amidst the dynamics of continuity and change, what elements of education should be preserved, and what aspects need to evolve or disappear?

Bridging Divides: What innovative approaches can ensure that education becomes truly accessible to all, bridging socio-economic and csocio-cultural gaps effectively?

ELIGIBILITY:

NO entry fees to be paid

Authors from all around the world are invited to submit their essays

You must be 18-35 years old (inclusive of both ages)

You are not a Drucker Challenge Laureate, nor have you participated in the Drucker Forum in this capacity before).
I.e. You are not a former winner/runner up/finalist of the Drucker Challenge.

if you were previously a student (as per your application form) and are now embarking on a career at a university;

if you were previously a student (according to your application form) and meanwhile moved on to become a manager or entrepreneur
Essay category requirements
You can submit one essay to participate as either a student or manager or entrepreneur. (Please mention your main occupation in the submission form)
Student category

You are a part-time or full-time student (Bachelors, Masters, MBA, or PhD) or you are seeking your first opportunity after the completion of your last degree
Professional category

You are a

manager of people, projects, budgets, and/or processes

an entrepreneur or business owner

licensed professional

social volunteer or community leader
