MCGILL UNIVERSITY NEED-BASED FINANCIAL AID FOR FUTURE UNDERGRADUATES

McGill University is committed to supporting the academic pursuits of qualified undergraduate students who require financial assistance. The university’s Entrance Bursary Program offers entrance bursaries to students from low- to modest-income families who demonstrate financial need.

ELIGIBILITY:

To be considered for the Entrance Bursary Program, applicants must:

Enrol in a full-time degree program at the University

Demonstrate financial need, including the intention to apply for government student aid and/or Indigenous Band Support Funding

Financial need is considered for all McGill students, including international students. While government aid programs are generally limited to Canadian and U.S. citizens, international students who are not eligible for government aid may still apply for an Entrance Bursary based on demonstrated financial need.

Students registered with the Student Accessibility & Achievement may be eligible for financial aid while pursuing a reduced course load.

Upon notification of acceptance to the University (your official letter of acceptance can be found in your McGill Applicant Portal), the application becomes available on Minerva.

There are two steps to complete:

In Minerva:

Select the Financial Aid/Awards tab > Financial Aid Menu > Apply for a McGill Entrance Bursary > Apply to Entrance Bursary Program > Complete then submit your application.

Submit a CSS Financial Aid Profile if you are a:

Canadian (citizen or permanent resident) students living outside of Canada

U.S. students

International (non-US) students

BENEFIT:

While individual offers may vary, our average offers are proportionate to the rate of tuition based on residency: $3,000 for Quebecers, $9,000 for out-of-province Canadian students, and $19,000 for US/International students.

    UAL INTERNATIONAL POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS

    Application Deadline: Friday 27 March 2026 (Round 1)

    LOCATION: United Kingdom

    This scholarship provides a tuition fee waiver for a full-time or part-time taught master’s course at 1 of UAL’s Colleges and Institutes. Up to 288 scholarships are available for the 26/27 academic year.

    ELIGIBILITY:

    Criteria 1: You must hold an offer to study a full-time or part-time taught master’s course at one of UAL’s Colleges and Institutes starting in 2026/27.

    Your course must offer either a Grad Dip, M ARCH, MA, MFA, MBA, MRes or MSc qualification and be offered at one of UAL’s Colleges or Institutes. Courses run by UAL Online are not eligible for this scholarship.

    You are not eligible to apply if you already hold a UK postgraduate taught qualification (or one at an equivalent level) from studies undertaken in the UK.

    Criteria 2: You need to qualify for the Overseas category of tuition fee status. Read more about Postgraduate Tuition Fees.

    Criteria 3: You have achieved, or are predicted to achieve, an upper second-class honours degree or above at undergraduate level. Recognised equivalent qualifications are also accepted. To check your eligibility, read the International Academic Qualifications Equivalency (PDF 1,015 KB).

    You will need to provide your transcripts as proof of your qualification.

    If you have not yet received your results, you will need to provide evidence of your predicted grade as part of your application. When you receive your results, you will need to provide further evidence that you have achieved your predicted grade to be granted the award.

    Criteria 4: You must provide a personal statement as part of your scholarship application that responds to the following questions (maximum 350 words per question):

    Please tell us about how your achievements and experience gained both within and outside of school/university demonstrate your suitability for this award.

    Please tell us how you intend to use the qualification you will be studying to support your future plans.

    What contribution do you intend to make to university life whilst studying? How do you feel being part of the UAL community will help you in achieving your career aspirations?

    You will need to hold an offer for your postgraduate course before applying for this scholarship.
