AMSTERDAM UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES NL SCHOLARSHIP

The €5000 NL Scholarship (formerly known as the Holland Scholarship) is open to international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who want to do their Bachelor’s or Master’s in the Netherlands. 

ELIGIBILITY:

You are a prospective student

You are applying for a programme in the Netherlands for the first time

You will be paying the institutional tuition fee

Your nationality is non-EEA

You do not have a degree from an education institution in the Netherlands

You are applying for a full-time Bachelor’s or Master’s programme at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS)*

You meet the specific admission requirements set by the AUAS programme you want to study

You have not received an NL Scholarship before

English-taught programmes at AUAS

The following English-taught programmes qualify for the NL Scholarship:

AMFI – Amsterdam Fashion Institute (Bachelor’s, full-time)

AMSIB – International Business (Bachelor’s, full-time)

AMSIB – International Business Fast Track (Bachelor’s, full-time)

Master Digital Driven Business (Master’s, full-time)

European School of Physiotherapy (ESP) (Bachelor’s, full-time)

Master Digital Design (Master’s, full-time)

Sport Studies (Bachelor’s, full-time)

The deadline for application for the academic year 2025/2026 is 1 May 2025. The application period starts in March 2025. The NL Scholarship will be paid at the beginning of the second semester.
You can apply for the NL Scholarship using this form. You need to login with your AUAS ID. The Central Student Administration sends you your AUAS ID by email after applying through Studielink. You need to activate your AUAS ID here

UEA DAVID SAINSBURY SCHOLARSHIPS IN GLOBAL PLANT HEALTH

The Sainsbury Laboratory (TSL) offers the prestigious David Sainsbury Scholarships in Global Plant Health to a limited number of applicants on the MSc in Global Plant Health. To be considered for this scholarship, you need to apply for your place on the MSc in Global Plant Health. The deadline to apply for the course is 30 May 2025 (for international applicants) and 29 August 2025 (for UK applicants).

ELIGIBILITY:

Type of Course: Postgraduate Taught

Course Start Date: September 2025

Criteria: Socioeconomic Related, UK Fees, and International Fees

School/Faculty: Faculty of Science and Biological Sciences

The David Sainsbury Full MSc Scholarship:

You are eligible for a full scholarship under these terms if you meet all these criteria:

You are in receipt of an offer of a place on the UEA MSc in Global Plant Health

You are a national of or domiciled in a least-developed, low-income, or lower-middle-income country or territory as defined by the Overseas Development Agency Development Assistance Committee (DAC) list, version 2024-25 for entry in 2025-26 academic year.

There are a limited number of scholarships available and these will be awarded throughout the year, so you are advised to apply early.

The David Sainsbury 50% Fee Scholarship:

You are eligible for a full scholarship under these terms if you meet all these criteria:

You are in receipt of an offer of a place on the UEA MSc in Global Plant Health

You are not a national of or domiciled in a least-developed, low-income, or lower-middle-income country or territory as defined by the Overseas Development Agency Development Assistance Committee (DAC) list, version 2024-25 for entry in 2025-26 academic year. For example, you are a national of and domiciled in an upper-middle income country or higher income country (including the UK) according to this list.

There are a limited number of scholarships available and these will be awarded throughout the year, so you are advised to apply early.

BENEFIT:

The David Sainsbury Full MSc Scholarship: Each full scholarship will cover up to: the full cost of the tuition fee (£35,450 international fee for 2025-26)

maintenance grant (exact value at the UKRI postgraduate researcher stipend level to be determined for 2025-26; in 2024-23 it was £19,237)

an additional £4,000 for travel costs (subject to valid economy class travel receipts)

The David Sainsbury 50% Fee Scholarship: Each 50% fee scholarship will cover up to up to 50% of the full cost of the tuition fee (50% of either £17,975 UK or £35,450 international fees for 2025-26), minus any other awards or scholarships you are in possession of that cover more than 50% of the fee.
