SHEFFIELD HALLAM UNIVERSITY GREAT POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS

Sheffield Hallam University offers five GREAT Scholarships in partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign.

The GREAT scholarships are exclusively for students domiciled in Ghana, India, Indonesia, Nigeria and Pakistan starting a full-time postgraduate taught course in September 2025 who can demonstrate excellent academic achievement.

ELIGIBILITY:

To be eligible for any of the GREAT Scholarships, you must meet the following criteria:

Be an international fee-paying student fully financing your studies, without external funding from sources such as a government, other scholarship provider, company, or employer.

Have achieved a minimum 2.1 or its equivalent in your undergraduate honours degree.

Meet the English language proficiency and academic entry requirements for your chosen course.

Be able to pay the remainder of your tuition fee and any additional fees your course may require, for example field trips.

Be domiciled in Ghana, India, Indonesia, Nigeria or Pakistan. One scholarship is available for each of these countries.

Have applied for a full-time taught postgraduate course at Sheffield Hallam University starting in September 2025.

BENEFIT:

Scholarship winners will receive a £10,000 tuition fee waiver for their full-time postgraduate taught course during the academic year.

UNIVERSITY OF SYDNEY INTERNATIONAL STIPEND SCHOLARSHIP (USYDIS)

Application Deadline of Research Period 1 and 2, 2026: 12 September 2025

LOCATION: Australia

The University of Sydney International Stipend Scholarship provides financial support to domestic and international postgraduate research students.

ELIGIBILITY:

Applicants must be international students at the time of award.

Be a commencing or enrolled domestic or international higher degree by research student,

Have an outstanding record of academic achievement and previous research experience.

University of Sydney International Scholarship holders are expected to enrol in a full-time postgraduate research degree. A part-time Scholarship where the university is satisfied that there are special circumstances beyond the student’s control (for example medical conditions, financial hardship, carer’s responsibilities).

A part-time scholarship may have tax implications and student should seek tax advice from registered tax agents. International students will only receive approval to study part-time if it is permitted under their visa.

Applicants must apply to be considered for RTP Scholarships at the time of their application for admission to their HDR Course and must submit the required supporting material in the manner specified on the Scholarships Office website. Applicants who have already commenced their HDR candidature must apply by completing the application form available on the Scholarships Office website.

Terms and Conditions

BENEFIT:

Holders of the scholarship will receive a stipend of $41,753 per annum (2025 rate). The value of this stipend will be indexed annually on 1 January each year.
