RMIT UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF DESIGN AND SOCIAL CONTEXT STUDENT BURSARY

Application Deadline: 17 July 2026 for Semester 2 2026;

30 September 2026 for Semester 3 2026

This bursary provides financial assistance to international students studying in the College of Design and Social Context (DSC).

ELIGIBILITY:

In order to qualify for this scholarship you must:

Be an international student holding a valid student visa or plan to apply for a student visa prior to the commencement of your degree

Have existing offer letter (full or conditional offer) and be a commencing student in:

Semester 2 2026 intake in any College of Design and Social Context course (excluding Master by Research or PhD)

Semester 3 2026 intake for

Master of Project Management

Master of Energy Efficient and Sustainable Building

Achieve Australian equivalent grade GPA of 2.0 or 60% average or ATAR 60 in your qualifying qualification at the time of application

Not be an existing RMIT student (including RMIT Vietnam students)

Not be receiving another RMIT-funded scholarship or external sponsorship covering tuition fees

BENEFIT:

The total value of the bursary is a AU$5,000 one-off payment towards future tuition fees to be paid after the first census date into the student’s university account.

Number of scholarships available: Sixty-eight (68) scholarships are available for Semester 2 and Semester 3 2026.

UNIVERSITY OF NEW BRUNSWICK (UNB) PHD/MSC POSITIONS IN AI & OPTIMIZATION & COMMUNICATIONS 

LOCATION: Canada

Dr. Jie Chen is seeking two highly motivated students to pursue PhD or MSc studies in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of New Brunswick (UNB) in Canada.

ELIGIBILITY:

5G/6G Communication Technologies – Integrated sensing and communication (ISAC), wireless power transfer, energy harvesting, millimeter-wave communications, RFID, MIMO, OFDM, and OTFS – Channel estimation, signal detection, beamforming design, multiple access techniques, and wireless resource management. 

Artificial Intelligence for Wireless Networks – Generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and foundation models for communication systems – Distributed learning, optimization, and autonomous operation for wireless networks

Requirements:

Background in Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields. 

Strong undergraduate record with a minimum GPA of 3.3. 

PhD applicants must hold a master’s degree with an excellent academic record; prior publications are preferred.
