ELIGIBILITY:

To enter the competition, submit your idea or innovation with environmental impact. We’ll help you fast-track that idea into a business and bypass all possible pitfalls along the way.

Climate Launchpad is built for early-stage climate innovators, especially if you’re at the idea or concept stage.

No company yet? No funding? No finished product? No problem. If you have a climate solution you want to explore, this is where you start.

Their free programme guides you step-by-step through the fundamentals of building and testing a climate venture, in a supportive, global community designed for first-time founders.

The Programme:

Mini-course: After you apply, you’ll unlock our online climate entrepreneurship course covering climate basicssystems thinking, and entrepreneurial mindset.

Boot Camp: Selected teams join an interactive virtual boot camp with expert trainers to strengthen their ideabusiness model, and pitch.

Follow-up coaching and National Finals: You’ll receive targeted coaching to test assumptionsrefine your story, and prepare to pitch.

Regional Finals: The Top-3 teams from each country advance to pitch online against the strongest start-ups across Africathe Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

Regional Finals: They bring together our worldwide community of climate innovators, including National Final winners and top regional teams, to celebrate bold ideas and breakthrough solutions.

Important Note:
If a start-up wins both 1st place in their National Final and qualifies through the Regional Finals, only one trip will be awarded.

AGENCY FOR SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND RESEARCH (A*STAR) GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP

Whether you’re looking to explore broad scientific fields or dive deep into a specialized area, AGS offers full funding, access to world-class research labs, and the chance to take on a 12-month overseas attachment during your PhD. Begin your research journey at an A*STAR Research Institute, and shape the future of science, technology, and innovation.

Biomedical Sciences

Computing and Information Sciences

Engineering and Technology

Physical Sciences

Applicants must:

Singaporeans and other nationals are welcome to apply. 

Non-Singaporeans and Non-Singapore Permanent Residents (Non-SPR) must have completed or are on track to complete a degree in a Singapore autonomous university

Satisfy criteria for and seek admission to PhD or EngD programme in an autonomous university

Have obtained, or are on track to obtain, at least a 2nd Upper Class Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline

Have not concurrently hold any other scholarships or fellowships

Have strong interest in pursuing a research career in related disciplines

For Mid-Term AGS applicants:

Singaporeans and other nationals are welcome to apply

Non-Singaporeans must have completed a degree in a Singapore autonomous university

Enrolled in a Singapore autonomous university and minimally complete at least 1 semester at the point of scholarship application

On track to attain excellent academic standing for current degree

Good research potential and/or achievements

Current university supervisor to be at least 1 out of the 2 academic referees

A*STAR may include additional selection criteria based on prevailing scholarship policies. These policies may be amended from time to time without notice.

BENEFIT:

Successful applicants will be given the following support* for up to 4 years :

Full tuition fees

Book allowance

Computer allowance

Conference allowance

Thesis allowance

Up to 12 months of overseas attachment

Mid-term AGS awardees will be offered the same terms of support as the full-term AGS awardees from the point of the award, with retrospective payment for all tuition fees and/or any compulsory fees from Year 1 of study onwards.
