SUSSEX NIGERIA SCHOLARSHIP (MASTER’S) (2026)

This scholarship is for applicants who are nationals of Nigeria, are classified as ‘Overseas’ for fee purposes, and have been accepted to study an eligible Master’s course at Sussex starting in September 2026.

ELIGIBILITY:

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

Be a national of Nigeria

Be classified as ‘overseas’ for fee purposes

Be taking up a place on a full-time master’s degree, starting September 2026

The scholarship is applied automatically if you meet the eligibility criteria. If this changes at any time, the scholarship will be removed.

Confirmation of the scholarship will be sent by email after you receive an offer of a place to study at Sussex, and information about the scholarship will be included in your CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) for your visa application. If the scholarship information is not showing on your CAS, please contact the Admissions Office: pg.applicants@sussex.ac.uk

Students must be self-financing to receive the scholarship. If you confirm that you are being sponsored, or that your tuition fees are being paid by a sponsor, employer, or other funding provider, then the scholarship offer will be revoked.

The scholarship is awarded as a tuition fee reduction for your first year of full-time study at Sussex.

The University of Sussex is delighted to offer this scholarship to an applicant to the Media department, in honour of Sussex alum Shan Vaswani Borgartz. This scholarship is being offered to facilitate an international student—who might otherwise be unable to pursue a postgraduate degree at the University of Sussex—to achieve their academic goals.
