ELIGIBILITY:

Do you hold citizenship of any IBRD member state?

Are you enrolled in an LLB, JD, LLM, SJD, PhD, or equivalent legal academic program while you would be undertaking your internship with us?  (e.g. if you apply for the Summer Cycle of LIP, you must be enrolled in an eligible legal academic program between June and August)

Proof of enrollment in a law degree (LLB, JD, LLM, SJD, PhD, or equivalent) and academic transcript(s).

Short essay providing a response to a research question posed by the Legal Vice Presidency for the prevailing application period.

BENEFIT:

Visa:  Students partaking in the World Bank Legal Internship Program must have valid student visa documents sponsored by their educational institutions. The World Bank shall only assist attainment of visa documents for participants of the World Bank Legal Internship Program in exceptional cases.

Cost: The World Bank shall not remunerate participants of the World Bank Legal Internship Program in the form of monetary fees/compensation.  Each World Bank Legal Intern must however be remunerated in accordance with World Bank Group policies and standards in the form of (i) monetary fees/compensation paid by the university or other sponsoring organization and acceptable to the Bank; or (ii) academic credit equivalent to the Bank’s fee schedule.  Hence, students partaking in the World Bank Legal Internship Program must secure appropriate funding sources for the duration of their internships.

EDUCATION RESEARCH OFFICER AT UNESCO, INDIA

To advance and support this unique research mandate, UNESCO MGIEP is seeking an international Education Research Officer to join the research team. Under the overall guidance of the Director the  Research Officer will serve as the primary academic resource for (a) designing research to build and assess social and emotional competencies (b) supervise and implement SEL action research that adapts MGIEP’s SEL development (EMC2) and assessment (KISME) framework to the context and needs of member states using innovative and immersive digital pedagogies on Framerspace

ELIGIBILITY:

This position is only open for non-Indian nationals.

Education: Advanced university degree (Master’s Degree) in neuroscience, science of learning, education cognitive science, or other education related sciences. 

Work Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience relating to research, teaching, curriculum development, pedagogy, technology, social and emotional learning, sciences of learning\neurosciences, and\or planning in a governmental, multilateral, academic, or civil society organization;

Field experience of conducting research with schools following specified research protocols.

Experience in programming and project management, such as research design and results monitoring, in areas related to education.

Experience in multidisciplinary research teams and published in peer-reviewed journals.

Skills and Competencies: Excellent statistical analysis skills with a strong command over R or Python programming would be a huge advantage.

Languages: Working knowledge of another UNESCO official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish).

BENEFIT:

UNESCO’s salaries consist of a basic salary and other benefits which may include if applicable: 30 days annual leave, family allowance, medical insurance, pension plan etc.

The approximate annual starting salary for this post is 98,945 US $.
