HUMANITIES & SOCIAL SCIENCES: INTERNATIONAL MASTERS SCHOLARSHIPS, SEPTEMBER 2026

They are delighted to offer scholarships to all eligible postgraduate taught Masters, MSW, or PGDE self-funded, international (non-EU) fee-paying offer holders joining a full-time, on-campus course in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in August/September 2026.

ELIGIBILITY:

Subject eligibility: Education, English, History, International relations, Journalism, Languages, Law, Politics, Psychology, Social policy, Teaching

The scholarship is open now for all international (non-EU) Postgraduate Taught Masters, MSW and PGDE students joining eligible programmes within the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences in August/September 2026.

Applications are not necessary, and you will automatically be considered upon confirmation of payment of deposit.

To be considered for a scholarship, an applicant must hold an offer to study a full-time attendance course in the 2026/27 academic year.

Deposits must be paid by the scholarship deadline date.

Students are only eligible for one scholarship per academic year from the University of Strathclyde.

Online and blended learning programmes, PG Certificates and PG Diplomas are not eligible for these scholarships.

To receive their scholarship, awardees must enroll in studies commencing in August/September 2026 and continue to meet all of the above eligibility criteria. Scholarships are non-transferable and will be forfeited if the recipient defers their admission to a later academic year or transfers to a different programme or Faculty after enrollment.

Scholarship recipients will be expected to engage with student ambassador activities during their course of study, such as supporting student recruitment activities and events.

Available for self-funded, international (non-EU) fee-paying offer holders only.

The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences’ decision on the awarding of scholarships is final.

FACULTY OF ENGINEERING INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP FOR MASTER’S STUDY – SEPTEMBER 2026

The Faculty of Engineering is delighted to be offering scholarships to all eligible postgraduate taught, self-funded, international (non-EU) fee-paying students joining a full-time on-campus course in the Faculty of Engineering in September 2026. The scholarship will be awarded automatically, and no application is necessary.

ELIGIBILITY:

Subject eligibility: Aeronautical engineering, Architecture, Biomedical engineering, Chemical engineering, Civil & environmental engineering, Civil engineering, Design manufacture & engineering management, Electronic & electrical engineering, Engineering, Environmental engineering, Marine Engineering, Mechanical & aerospace engineering, Mechanical engineering, Naval architecture, Naval architecture ocean & marine engineering, Ocean engineering, Product design, Prosthetics & orthotics, Renewable energy

The scholarships are available for eligible self-funded, international (non-EU) fee-paying applicants enrolling on a full-time course within the University of Strathclyde’s campus in Glasgow starting September 2026 only. The scholarships cannot be deferred or transferred to any other entry points. 

The scholarships will be awarded automatically, and no application is necessary. Please note that the scholarship details will be added to your student record once payment of the deposit has been received, and the funds will be automatically deducted from your overall fees. 

Those who receive full sponsorship from a government office or embassy are not eligible for these scholarships.

In order to be considered for a scholarship, an applicant must hold an offer to study on a full-time postgraduate taught course in September 2026.

Students are only eligible for one scholarship per academic year from the University of Strathclyde.

Students studying a two-year MSc course will receive a £6,000 scholarship for each year of study. This includes the MArch Advanced Architectural Design, MArch Architectural Design (International), and the MSc Advanced Electrical Power and Energy Systems.

Students studying on the two-year MSc Ship and Offshore Technology course will receive a £6000 scholarship for year one only due to year two being studied at a partner institute.

Students on the 18-month MSc Advanced Mechanical Engineering with Industrial Placement course will receive an additional pro-rata scholarship for the remaining 6 months of the course studied in year 2.  

Students who do not meet any of the required criteria will automatically not be considered.

The Faculty of Engineering’s decision on the awarding of scholarships is final.

BENEFIT:

The value of the scholarship award is £6,000 and will be deducted from your tuition fees.
