FULLY FUNDED KAUST MICROELECTRONICS WINTER CAMP (MEWC) RESEARCH INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The KAUST Microelectronics Winter Camp (MEWC) is a six-week research internship program designed to enhance the technical and innovative skills of undergraduate and master’s students. Participants actively lead research projects focused on key areas of microelectronics, mentored by leading faculty and experts.

ELIGIBILITY:

The program features a unique structure, encompassing a variety of activities, including:

Hands-on, cutting-edge research projects in various modern electronics areas

Workshops and technical training in state-of-the-art and emerging technologies, including integrated circuits (ICs), inkjet printing, 3D printing, and self-assembly

Designing a gadget prototype based on the assigned project

Side workshops on research skills and e-poster training

An e-poster competition at the end of the program

Engaging social events

The MEWC invites candidates who meet the following criteria to apply:

Recent graduates, senior undergraduates, or current master’s students in electrical and computer engineering related disciplines

Have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 out of 4.00 or higher

Possess strong English language proficiency

Demonstrate a strong motivation to work on research projects

Meet the academic requirements stated above

Submit a complete application package, including:

Up-to-date curriculum vitae (CV)

Official transcripts (in English)

Copy of passport for non-Saudi applicants or national ID for Saudi applicants

Pass interviews with KAUST faculty and administration
