The prestigious Vice-Chancellor’s Award scholarships aim to recognize and support outstanding international students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership qualities, and a commitment to the betterment of society.

ELIGIBILITY:

To apply for this scholarship, you must fulfill the following criteria:

You must have received and accepted an offer to study in a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programme at University College Birmingham. Part-time courses, distance learning courses, or other levels of study are not eligible.

You must have overseas fee status and be paying overseas tuition fees. Home fee payers are not eligible.

The minimum requirements are 144 UCAS tariff points (or international equivalents) for undergraduate programmes and 1st class honours (or international equivalents) for postgraduate programmes.

This scholarship is available to students’ first year of study only.

You must have paid at least £1,000 towards your deposit within 14 days of receiving your scholarship offer. Otherwise, the scholarship offer will be withdrawn.

You agree to provide testimonials, feature in case studies and/or participate in marketing activities upon request.

Obtain an offer for a programme starting in February 2026, September 2026, or February 2027.

Include a personal statement and, in 500 words, demonstrate your achievements in your field of study, your career aspirations, and your contribution to the betterment of society.

SOUTHWEST UNIVERSITY PRESIDENT SCHOLARSHIP

In order to strengthen mutual understanding and friendship between the people of China and the rest of the world, Southwest University offers the president scholarship to sponsor international students and scholars to undertake studies and research.

ELIGIBILITY:

Grade Requirement:

The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.0 out of 4.0 and above.

The minimum score is 80 out of 100 and above.

Language Proficiency Requirement: Applicants must provide a language certificate such as HSK, TOEFL-ibt, or IELTS and prove that his or her language proficiency meets the requirements of daily communication and academic presentation on the Chinese campus.

Not yet sponsored by any other scholarships in China.

Scholarship Duration & Annual Assessment:

Generally, scholarship holders are eligible for the following scholarships according to their study duration: 4 years for Undergraduate Program, 2-3 years for Graduate Program, 4 years for Ph.D. Program.

According to relevant regulations, there is a comprehensive assessment of the scholarship holder’s performance during the previous academic year to determine whether the scholarship holder is qualified to continue receiving the scholarship in each month of May.

Note:

According to Scholarship Regulations, all international students can be covered by only one type of scholarship when international students study in China.

International students who are already covered by a certain type of scholarship are not eligible to apply for and switch to a new type of scholarship while studying in China.

BENEFIT:

The Type A Scholarship covers tuition and living allowance.

Undergraduate: CNY 1100/Month

Graduate: CNY 1400/Month

Ph.D.: CNY 1700/Month

The Type B Scholarship covers tuition.

Both Type A and B cover Medical Insurance 800 CNY/year. And students need to pay the accommodation fee.
