IMF FUND INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Are you within a year or two of completing your PhD in economics or a related field or completing a Master’s degree in economics?

The International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) Internship Program (FIP) may be the right opportunity for you! 

ELIGIBILITY

To compete for the FIP, at a minimum you must meet the following criteria:

PhD students

Be within one to two years of completing a PhD in macroeconomics or a related field.

Be in student status at the time of the internship (i.e. continuing PhD studies after the internship).

Be below the age of 32 at the commencement of the internship.

Have an excellent command of English, written and oral.

Possess strong analytical, quantitative and computer skills.

Master’s students

Completing a Master’s degree in macroeconomics or a related field.

Below the age of 28 at the commencement of the internship.

Have an excellent command of English, written and oral.

Possess strong analytical, quantitative and computer skills.

Only candidates who are identified for further consideration will be contacted by a FIP recruiter. Incomplete applications will be rejected.

The minimum duration is 10 weeks and the maximum duration is 12 weeks.

BENEFIT:

This internship is paid.

If you are not a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S., and do not have another work authorization that would allow you to work at the IMF, you will need a G4 visa. We will provide the paperwork necessary to facilitate your G4 visa request with U.S. authorities.

BASIA ZABA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP AT LSHTM

The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine extends their inivitation to qualified and interested home or international candidates with the intention to further their career England to apply for the Basia Zaba Memorial Scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic session. This scholarship is for the MSc Demography & Health.

ELIGIBILITY:

The scholarship is open to applicants who have been accepted onto the 2024-25 intensive MSc Demography & Health.

Preference will be given to prospective students with a demonstrable interest in the field of demographic estimation, or, the demography of low-income countries.

Applicants must meet the School’s minimum English language proficiency requirements if shortlisted for this funding.

Applicants are expected to have other funding to cover the other half of their fees (GBP 6,515.00 home or GBP 14,270 international), as well as to cover their living and travel costs. This scholarship can only provide half of the total fees, as advertised.

BENEFIT:

One partial scholarship is offered for the 2024-25 academic year worth GBP 6,165.00 towards tuition fees for a home student or GBP 14,270.00 towards fees for an international student, covering half of the respective total tuition fees.
