A $6000 award for outstanding Monash music students specialising in jazz. This scholarship is established from funds received from an anonymous donor.
ELIGIBILITY:
You must be one of the following: An Australian citizen, A New Zealand citizen, an Australian permanent resident, an Australian humanitarian visa holder, and an International student
You must meet the following criteria:
Commencing or continuing music performance, student enrolled in an undergraduate degree in the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music and Performance.
Specializing in jazz.
Selection Criteria
Based on a combination of academic performance and previous musical performance as determined by the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music and Performance.
Performance at an interview or audition.
Continuing students must have achieved a minimum of a distinction grade average (70%) in their principal music study.

Eligible students will be invited to an audition/interview by the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music and Performance and will be automatically assessed for this scholarship.
This scholarship cannot be deferred.

To retain this scholarship:
You must maintain satisfactory academic performance as determined by the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music and Performance.
If the original recipient is not enrolled in a performance unit in semester 2, the remaining scholarship ($3000) can be awarded to another recipient.

The Global Studies bachelor-level study programme trains students to understand and develop solutions for complex global issues, crossing disciplinary and geographical boundaries. The study programme is unique in the Netherlands for having six faculties, each with their disciplinary expertise, contribute equally to the educational content of the programme.
The study programme offers students the opportunity to take part in a local or international field study, develop an intervention for a societal problem presented by an NGO, government, agency, firm, or school, and write an interdisciplinary bachelor thesis.
ELIGIBILITY:
Target group: incoming bachelor students with proven academic excellence and personal development potential that have been (conditionally) admitted to the Global Studies study programme.

You hold the nationality of a country that is eligible to receive Official Development Assistance from the OECD and meet the requirements for obtaining an entry visa and residence permit for the Netherlands.

If you already have a residence permit for another Schengen country, you can only apply if this residence permit is still valid until at least 2 September 2027. If your residence permit expires before 2 September 2027, you can only apply for the scholarship from your home country via an MVV visa application. You do not have a dual nationality from any country in the European Economic Area or any other country not included in the list.
You have applied for admission to the Global Studies bachelor’s programme at the UM for the 2027-2028 academic year
You meet the specific admission requirements of the UM bachelor’s programme to which you have applied.
You do not have a diploma from a higher education institution; you are not eligible for a scholarship if you have completed a degree programme equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.
You are not older than 35 years of age on 1 September 2027
You agree to become an active Global Studies and UM ambassador during and after your studies, by committing to share your experiences during at least one (information) session for students and/or other stakeholders
