CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST – INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME FOR AFRICA (RAF)

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) leads international efforts to defeat hunger, achieve food security for all, and ensure that people have regular access to enough high-quality food to lead active, healthy lives. The Internship Programme aims to attract talented young women and men who are strongly motivated to share their new perspectives, innovative ideas, and latest academic experience in FAO’s domains. The Programme provides a learning opportunity to the participants to supplement their academic knowledge with a practical work assignment in a field related to the work of FAO.

ELIGIBILITY:

Enrolled in an under-graduate, graduate degree programme in a “bona fide” educational institution at the time of application or recent graduate. Please note that FAO only considers higher educational qualifications obtained from an institution accredited/recognized in the World Higher Education Database (WHED), a list updated by the International Association of Universities (IAU)/United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The list can be accessed at http://www.whed.net/

Candidates must specialize in a field relevant to the mission and work of FAO.

Working knowledge of at least one FAO language (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian or Spanish).

Knowledge of a second FAO language will be considered an asset. 

Be nationals of FAO Members. 

Candidates should be aged between 21 and 30.

Candidates should be able to adapt to an international multicultural environment and have good communication skills.

BENEFIT:

FAO provides a monthly stipend to interns if they are not sponsored by sending universities or other entities.

WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP: SURREY MBA 2025 ENTRY

Application Deadline:

15 September 2025—Full-time MBA;

3 November 2025 – Executive MBA.

LOCATION: United Kingdom

The Women in Leadership scholarship is open to female candidates who can demonstrate their contribution to business and a drive to support other female candidates in the future. The scholarship is open to candidates joining either the full-time or Executive MBA course. Applications to the scholarship or the program are FREE.

ELIGIBILITY:

In order to be eligible:

You must hold a lower second-class degree or equivalent, alternatives may be considered, see entry criteria for more information.

You must be a UK, EU or international student

You must be self-funded or receiving a partial sponsorship or loan

You must be studying full or part time

You must be studying Full Time MBA or Executive MBA

EU and overseas’ students must comply with the English language requirements (IELTS Academic: 6.5 overall grade with 6.0 in each element or equivalent).

In order to apply for the Women in Leadership Scholarship all applicants need to complete a programme application for one of our MBA programmes and undergo an informal interview. For application enquiries, please contact MBA@surrey.ac.uk

BENEFIT:

This is a partial scholarship that covers up to 50% of the tuition fee. They are awarded on a rolling basis. Candidates who apply early in the admissions round may therefore have a greater chance of receiving an award.
