UNIVERSITY OF PORTSMOUTH CHANCELLOR’S GLOBAL ACADEMIC MERIT SCHOLARSHIP

For September 2026 entry, eligible applicants will be considered for the Chancellor’s Global Academic Merit Scholarship. This scholarship is merit-based, and applicants will need to have applied and accepted their academic offer by the given deadline.

ELIGIBILITY:

To be considered, applicants will also need to complete the Chancellor’s Global Academic Merit Scholarship application form as part of their application. Applications will then be considered by the university’s scholarship panel, and the successful candidates will be contacted by email to confirm their status shortly after the submission. 

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be a self-funded international student. Only applicants who have been assessed as an overseas student for tuition fee purposes can access this scholarship.

If you’re studying an undergraduate, or postgraduate taught course, you must have applied as a self-funded student on a full-time, on-campus course for September 2026 entry. 

The scholarship is available for students who have never studied at the University of Portsmouth previously. 

International College Portsmouth (ICP) students are excluded from this scholarship. 

The scholarship will take the form of a £5,000 fee reduction, effective at the time of registration and will only apply to your first year of study. 

To be considered, you will need to complete the scholarship application form as part of your application before June 1, 2026. Any application submitted after 1 June 2026 will not be considered. Only applicants who are successful will hear from us by Monday 29 June 2026.

The scholarship cannot be combined with any other scholarship, discount, or fee offer. 

The discounted fee will be stated on your Confirmation of Acceptance for Study (CAS). This is the final document you receive when you have an unconditional offer to study at the University of Portsmouth and have paid your deposit. 

Only applicants who have been assessed as overseas students for tuition fee purposes can access this scholarship. 

Due to the number of applications received, we are unable to offer individual feedback, and only successful candidates will be contacted.

PGCE Science with Physics and PGCE Modern Foreign Languages (all pathways) are not eligible for this scholarship.

UNSW SCHOLARSHIPS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS COMMENCING TERM 3, 2026

UNSW offers a wide range of scholarships and awards to support international undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students commencing full-time study at UNSW. Some scholarships will provide a full or partial tuition fee payment, while others provide a stipend to assist with the costs associated with your studies. Students wishing to undertake postgraduate research study should contact the Graduate Research School.

ELIGIBILITY:

Must be an international student, and

Have received an offer of admission* into an eligible program for Term 3, 2026, by 18 June 2026.

Undergraduate or postgraduate Letter of Offer (unconditional).

Undergraduate or Postgraduate Conditional English Package Offer (UEEC)—students must be enrolled in the UNSW Institute of Languages and successfully complete the program prior to commencing in Term 3 2026.

Applicants with pending Year 12 (or equivalent) results and UAC international applicants may still apply by the deadline. However, offers will only be made to successful recipients with an UNSW Letter of Offer (unconditional).

UNSW Diploma students entering their 2nd year of an undergraduate program and awaiting final transcripts may apply and be considered.

Applicants will be assessed on the basis of:

Academic merit

Leadership skills (school, workplace or community)

Extra-curricular activities (sporting, cultural activities, volunteer/work experience)
