UNIVERSITY OF TWENTE MSC SCHOLARSHIP (UTS)

The University Twente Scholarship (UTS) is a scholarship for excellent students from non-EU/EEA countries applying for a graduate programme (MSc) at the University of Twente.

ELIGIBILITY:

In order to be eligible for the University of Twente Scholarship, you should meet all the requirements below :

Application for a UT scholarship is a procedure separate from the application for course entry at the University of Twente. Regardless of funding, you will need to gain an academic admission letter first.

You have been (provisionally) admitted to one of the qualifying UT Master programmes starting in the academic year 2026/2027 (September). Please note: After completion of your application, it may take up to 8 weeks before you receive the results.

You must have a studentnumber.

You have not graduated from a UT (under)graduate programme;

You comply with the conditions for obtaining an entry visa in the Netherlands (if applicable);

You comply with the general English language test requirement Academic IELTS 6.5 (or TOEFL iBT of 90) and an additional 6.0 (TOEFL iBT 20) on the subscore of speaking skills

You are not eligible for a Dutch study loan;

The University Twente Scholarship is a scholarship for excellent students. This means that you only belong to the best 5 to 10 percent of your graduation class at your home university. Self-knowledge is of the essence!

In the case of a two-year study programme, students can receive an additional UTS of an amount equal to that in the first year to cover the expenses of the second year. However, the scholarship will only be continued during the second year when students meet the process requirements for the UTS.

You must have obtained:

An average grade of 7 (out of 10) at the end of the third quartile of the first year

At least 50% of European Credits at the end of the third quartile of the first year

BENEFIT:

CAMBRIDGE TRUST INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS & VICE-CHANCELLOR’S AWARDS

Application Deadline: Tuesday 02 December 2025 and Tuesday 07 January 2026.

The Cambridge Trust is pleased to offer the following scholarships to applicants who will be undertaking research leading to the degree of PhD at the University of Cambridge in the next academic year:

Cambridge Trust International Scholarships—for applicants from countries other than the UK or Ireland who are required to pay fees at the international rate

Vice-Chancellor’s Awards—for applicants from the UK and Ireland who are required to pay fees at the home rate

The aim of the Cambridge Trust International Scholarships and Vice-Chancellor’s Awards is to ensure that the highest-scoring students, irrespective of nationality, receive full financial support to undertake PhD studies. 

ELIGIBILITY:

The eligibility requirements for most postgraduate Cambridge scholarships are:

significant academic achievement and potential

financial need (although some scholarship programmes are based on academic merit alone)

Degree level: Applicants must be intending to start a course at the level of:

Masters (such as MPhil, MASt, LLM but with some restrictions—see Important information section below)

Research postgraduate (such as PhD)

Nationality: All students, irrespective of nationality, are eligible for postgraduate awards.

Subject: Applicants may study any subject currently available at the University of Cambridge. Please visit the postgraduate course directory for further information.

Application and admission: Postgraduate scholarships are available only for study at the University of Cambridge and require that you apply to the University for admission by the relevant funding deadline (please visit Applying for postgraduate funding for full details) and have a conditional offer of admission.

You do not need to apply to the Cambridge Trust directly, as an application for funding can be made as part of your application for admission to the University.

All students must be admitted to the University of Cambridge through the normal application procedures. The Trust plays no role in the admission of applicants to the University and is not able to influence the chances of an applicant being offered a place.

The University sets minimum standards—check the requirements for postgraduates.

Applicants are encouraged to meet the entry requirements of the University as early as possible, including (if necessary) the completion of an English language test. This will help to prevent the Trust from offering valuable scholarships to students who are ultimately unable to take up their places at Cambridge.
