RADBOUD SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME

The Radboud Scholarship Program is a very selective scholarship program. It offers talented, highly motivated, non-EEA students with outstanding study results the opportunity to be awarded a scholarship for a complete English-taught Radboud University Master’s program.

ELIGIBILITY:

All English-taught Master’s programs are eligible for the Radboud Scholarship (with the exception of Erasmus Mundus Master’s programs and joint-degree Master’s programs).

hold a non-EU/non-EEA passport.

are not eligible for the lower EU/EEA tuition fee for other reasons.

have (will obtain) a Bachelor’s degree achieved outside the Netherlands, have no degrees achieved in the Netherlands and did not receive any previous education in the Netherlands (exchange programmes excluded, provided that they are part of the Bachelor’s degree achieved outside the Netherlands).

meet the English language proficiency requirement for the Master’s programme of your choice.

have been fully admitted to the English-taught Master’s program starting 1 September 2025 as stated in the formal letter of admission.

are able to comply with the conditions for obtaining a visa for the Netherlands.

are enrolled at Radboud University as a full-time student for the academic year and Master’s program for which the scholarship will be awarded.

BENEFIT:

A Radboud Scholarship will reduce your tuition fee to €2.530. For example: a grant holder in 2025/2026 will pay a tuition fee of only €2.530 instead of €17,000. The scholarship also covers costs for visas, residence permits, health insurance, and liability insurance for your stay in the Netherlands (Aon Student Insurance). The costs of living and studying in the Netherlands are not covered by the scholarship.

For 2025/2026, a maximum of 18 Radboud Scholarships are available: Faculty of Arts (3), Faculty of Law (3), Nijmegen School of Management (3), Faculty of Philosophy, Theology, and Religious Studies (1), Faculty of Science (4), Faculty of Social Sciences (4).

UTRECHT UNIVERSITY NL SCHOLARSHIP

LOCATION: Netherlands

The NL Scholarship is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science and Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences. The scholarship is intended for international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA = the EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway) who wish to study for a master’s degree in the Netherlands.

ELIGIBILITY:

To be eligible for an NL Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria: 

You must not hold an EU/EEA passport and not be eligible for support under the Dutch study grant and loan system.

You must never have been enrolled at an educational institution in the Netherlands (if you only took part in an exchange programme in the Netherlands, this does not make you ineligible).

You must have applied for an international master’s programme at Utrecht University with a start date of 1 September 2025. Not all programmes participate. Please check the ‘Tuition fees and financial support’ information on the page of the master’s programme you are interested in to see if the NL Scholarship is mentioned as a scholarship opportunity.

BENEFIT:

The available scholarship amounts are €5,000, €10,000 and €15,000. You will receive this in the first year of your studies, even if you are enrolled in a two year programme.

Number of scholarships: Approximately 20 scholarships are available for the 2025-2026 academic year.
