DAAD SCHOLARSHIPS – M.SC. AGRICULTURAL ECONOMICS AT UNIVERSITY OF HOHENHEIM

Application Deadline: 15th December 2024 (Scholarship applications open 15th November 2024)

LOCATION: Germany

In collaboration with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), a limited number of scholarships are available for M.Sc. Agricultural Economics at the University of Hohenheim under the special initiative “Development-Related Postgraduate Courses” (EPOS). For up-to-date requirements and application procedures, please refer to their official webpage.

Through the EPOS scholarships, the DAAD supports excellent candidates from developing countries who have a strong academic and professional background.

ELIGIBILITY:

This is a highly competitive application process with strict requirements. For applicants to be considered, they must at least fulfill the following baseline requirements:

Citizen of a developing country 

Minimum 2 years professional experience post Bachelor’s, prior to the date of applying

Academic degrees should be less than 6 years old

Development-related motivations and intentions

Must not have resided in Germany for longer than 15 months by the application deadline

Selection Criteria for MSc. Agricultural Economics:

Scholarship applicants must also fulfill the basic requirements for the Master’s program:

Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with above-average results

Official proof English proficiency as detailed in the admission regulations (see below)
eg. IELTS academic (overall Band 6.5), TOEFL ibt (90).

Proof of undergraduate courses in statistics and economics

Proof of self-evaluation through the AgEcon PreTest

BENEFIT:

DAAD scholars will receive a monthly stipend of EUR 750 over the two-year AgEcon Scholarships program period and will do a two-months intensive German language course before the program starts. The German language course is an integral part of the DAAD initiative. It takes place in the months of August and September at the Language Center of the University of Hohenheim.

UNIVERSITY OF WARWICK CHANCELLOR’S PHD INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP

LOCATION: United Kingdom

Warwick’s Chancellors International Scholarships are awarded to the best international postgraduate researchers, who make invaluable contributions to their vibrant global community of world-leading researchers.

ELIGIBILITY:

Applicants must:

Apply for a PhD at the University of Warwick to begin in October 2025;

Be assessed as ‘overseas’ for fees purposes. There are no other nationality criteria;

Be from any discipline at Warwick.

Scholarships cannot be deferred to the next academic year.

BENEFIT:

Awards made for entry in Autumn 2025 will include the following:

The full payment of tuition fees

A maintenance stipend paid at the prevailing UKRI rate for 3.5 years

A Research, Training and Supporting Grant (RTSG) of £5,000.

For eligible scholars, the opportunity to apply for financial support towards the cost of immigration to the UK.
