READING EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP – UNDERGRADUATE 2026/27

The University of Reading is delighted to announce the forthcoming availability of 80 scholarships, each valued at £5,000, for incoming international undergraduate students. These awards are intended to provide meaningful financial support to exceptional students from across the globe. By easing the cost of study, the scholarships will enable recipients to focus on achieving academic excellence as they embark on their educational journey with the institution.

ELIGIBILITY:

To be eligible for consideration for one of the scholarships candidates must:

Have applied and received a formal offer of admission on a University of Reading undergraduate program for admission in the academic year 2026-27 (including M-level qualifications, excluding Degree Apprenticeship study).

It is not necessary to have accepted the offer of admission and be firm at that scholarship application stage.

Not already be in receipt of a full tuition fee scholarship or sponsorship.

Not already be enrolled on an undergraduate programme in the UK.

Demonstrate to the university academic achievement.

Have applied to study on a full-time course.

Terms and Conditions: Scholarship applications will only be considered if candidates satisfy the Eligibility Criteria and the Terms and conditions.

Scholarship applications must be submitted using the form that eligible candidates will have access to via their me@reading applicant portal. No alternative method of application will be considered. The application form must be completed in full, including confirmation that the candidate understands and accepts the Terms and Conditions under which the scheme operates

Applicants for the scholarship may be considered under one of the following application streams:

General Application Stream: Open to all eligible applicants who apply directly through the official scholarship application process.

International Schools stream: Applicants who are nominated by one of our international school Undergraduate Excellence Scholarship partners

International Representatives Stream: Applicants nominated by one of our international recruitment agent Undergraduate Excellence Scholarship partners

To apply for funding, a candidate must have received an offer of admission to one of our undergraduate courses (including integrated master’s courses) for entry in the academic year 2026/27. The scholarship application form will be made available to eligible students via the me@reading applicant portal, and will be accessible up until the closing date.

UNIVERSITY OF READING GLOBAL SUSTAINABILITY LEADERS UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP

LOCATION: United Kingdom

This exciting new undergraduate scholarship scheme is focused on creating a community of global sustainability leaders of the future. They will be offering up to 400 scholarships per year for high-achieving students from the UK and overseas.

ELIGIBILITY:

To be considered eligible for the scholarship, you will need to:

Be a UK or international fee-paying student holding an offer for a University of Reading undergraduate programme in 2026/27

Achieve grades AAA or above in your A levels (or equivalent qualification) or AAB for students eligible for a contextualised offer

Successfully complete the scholarship application process for this scheme.

Terms and conditions: The institution is finalizing the terms and conditions for the scholarship for 2026/27 entrants and will update this page once they are available.

Eligible offer holders will receive an invitation from the university with full details of the scheme and guidance on how to apply.

BENEFIT:

Each scholar will receive £6,000 a year, for up to four years of full-time study on their course (subject to terms and conditions), for maintenance and living costs.
