Different types of financial aid are available for students to help reduce their financial burden and enable them to concentrate on study. The applications for the New Student Scholarship and Adachi Scholarship are accepted at the time of the admission application. These scholarships are designed to support students facing financial hardship who have chosen our university as their first choice and are struggling to study here due to financial difficulties despite having excellent grades.
ELIGIBILITY:
Students applying for the 2027 entrance examination to the English course at Sophia University for undergraduate/graduate programs.
To be considered for the Sophia University 2027 Scholarship in Japan, you must:
Be Foreign or Japanese students
Be applying for the 2027 entrance examination to the English Course at Sophia University for Undergraduate/Graduate Programs.
Meet the entrance requirements of the university
Satisfy the English Language requirements of the university as an international student.
Submit your application for admission and scholarship by the deadline.

Sophia University New Student Scholarship: It covers one-third, one-half, or full tuition for the first year of study.
For International Students:
Sophia University Benefactors’ (Adachi) Scholarship: It covers full tuition and the education enhancement fee for the first year of study.
