LSTM HUMANITARIAN SCHOLARSHIP

The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine is delighted to invite all eligible and academic excellence students to apply for the Humanitarian Scholarship for the 2026 academic year.

ELIGIBILITY:

Students who are at risk as a result of armed conflict or war and/or are displaced inside their country or have been forced to leave their country in the last three years due to conflict

Applicants to any master’s course

Have a conditional offer from LSTM for their preferred course

Self-funding students only

Applicants must submit a completed scholarship application form to be considered for this award. If you have already received an offer, you will be sent a link to the scholarship application form via email. If you are still to apply and receive your offer, then you will find the link to the scholarship form in your Conditional Offer letter. The deadline to submit your application is 9am on Wednesday 15 April 2026.

In the Your Statement section of the scholarship application form you must demonstrate the following in a maximum of 700 words:

The risk you have faced as a result of armed conflict/war and/or if you have been displaced inside your country or been forced to leave your country in the last three years

Explain your academic goals and/or research interests in connection to the course(s) you have applied for at LSTM

Clearly outline the impact that your studies will have to support your career, reducing health inequality and providing health leadership.

BENEFIT:

One award available

The value of this scholarship is £30,000, which can be used towards tuition fees and living costs for full-time, on-campus master’s courses or tuition fees only for our part-time, distance learning MSc Global Health.

The Graduate Trainee Program of Stanbic IBTC Group has been designed to build capacity and create a sustainable pipeline in our group by developing young, talented, trained professionals for our future. It is an intensive program and a unique opportunity for young people who are resourceful and passionate about building a fast-tracked career and to help us drive our success into the future.

ELIGIBILITY:

A minimum of a Second Class Upper (or its equivalent) degree in any course from an accredited University.

A minimum of 5 credits (Mathematics and English inclusive) in GCE, NECO, or its equivalent.

Applicants should not be more than 26 years of age as at engagement.

Applicants must have concluded NYSC and must have a discharge certificate in hand.

Applicant’s Date of Birth, Gender and Class of degree must be clearly stated.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Graduates Trainees will be required to work in varied work roles/locations and contexts with increasing levels of complexity.

Applicants must be passionate about building a career in Stanbic IBTC.

Graduate Trainees would be based in Lagos but may be deployed to any department and locations across the country.

Knowledge/Technical Skills/Expertise:

Conceptual, Innovative and Analytical

Customer-service oriented

Computer literacy is compulsory

Intermediate to expert competence in the use of MS Office Suite

Competencies:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Leadership skills and assertiveness
